Nissan uses the VK56 in the Pathfinder here in the US.
They also built a one-off Xterra with a Titan driveline: http://www.thenewx.org/forum/showthread.php?s=0&t=3333

There's a private project to swap a VK56 into a Frontier (Navara) documented here:

The Calmini kit is LHD-only, but the L&P centerlink is symmetrical and will work in RHD as well. In fact, the only thing from the L&P kit you couldn't use is the idler arm brace.
Honestly, the centerlink is really all you should need, the beefed-up pitman and idler are overkill. I have their ...

Navara is the TX10A case, Patrol is the TX12A case. They don't have anything at all in common internally.
www.purenissan.com has a fixed output (slip yoke eliminator) for it, as well as 3.96:1 gearing. Supposedly BigBallsOffroad.com in Australia has developed a set of low-range gears for the TX10A ...

Driveshaft doesn't look that small vs. the others I've seen driving the R200A front diff. That's an all-new aluminum high-pinion unit they brought out with the 05. The SLR kit has a new cradle for it to lower it a bit.

But yeah, if I had the option, I'd be all over a Patrol before I'd give a ...

Oh, cripes, that original link WAS to the USA Frontier, no wonder it looked the same ;)

Anyway, I would imagine the Navara will be nearly identical, and that products for the US Frontier will be readily adaptable.

By the way, here's the SLR lift:

looks to be identical to the USA spec to me. For comparison, they're much the same as the Toyota truck suspension of late in overall design.

No kidding, it will have the axle code. HG## is H233, CA## is C200. I forget what the H260 is, but by elimination it can be determined.
The ## portion approximates the ratio, put a decimal point between the digits.

I stand corrected, the 05 Pathfinder doesn't use the R230, the Armada does. The 05 Pathfinder actually uses the 20+ year-old R200 in the rear. And even more odd, it uses the 25-year-old R180 in the front, same as used in the old 720 pickups. The R200 can handle the VQ40's power alright, but I'm ...

I don't get the impression that there is much of a scene for the 2nd-gen Pathfinder with regard to 'wheeling in Australia, which is the same here in the USA. However, you can do some half-decent 'wheeling with one. It's a fairly capable platform, but there's next to nil available to improve it ...

Highly unlikely. I know little about the Australian-market H233B gearset evolution, but the US-market swtiched from 10mm ring gear bolts to 12mm in 1986, with just a small number of the 10mm units ever used stateside (just a few months' D21 production) before the change. The MQ has the 10mm ring ...

The Australian Navara and Pathfinder rears are 31-spline, as are the ...

Actually they don't look like they have much tread depth because they have very large tread lugs, but the irregular void spacing makes the depth hard to take in. If you study them with that in mind and focus on a small area, you'll see they actually have a considerable tread depth.

That's definitely a TX10A transfer case. The only variation Calmini is concerned with is the spline count on the input shaft. We don't have diesels here in the USA, but we have 24-spline shafts from the 4-cylinder transmissions and 30-spine shafts from the 6-cylinder one. Otherwise, they're ...
