i think the clear coat they used back then didnt have a very good uv stabiliser in it, and the paint protection we have these days probably wasnt quite as good,

i always use the engine to wash off speed, i drive the gateway bridge everyday in peak hours, i find it easer to use the engine to slow me a little, only really use the brake to stop,

i cant remember the exact way it was when i put 4wd stuff on my old 2wd hilux, but i remmeber 2wd and 4wd grille headlight/indicator couldnt be put together

i think the way the headlights clip into the grille is diffrent, i know u cant use the 2wd headlight surround with 2wd indicators, and im sure the 4wd headlight surround cant clip into the 2wd grille,

but ive had a few beers tonight

check your uni joints in the tailshaft, mine went not long ago, sounded horible like a stuffed bearing, but u could feel vibration/ knocking through the car

mate stick the car on flat ground and try to push it side to side, push hard do u hear a knock?

mine just did this aswell, got a wheel alignment, and they shimmed it heaps, however ive now got a knock in the suspension, took it to a diffrent shop today and they think its my ball joints are gone,

i just took some michilen at's off my NJ there 31 10.5 15's on factory alloy,

i think rule of thumb on swl rating on shackels and chains was something like 1/3

so if its rated swl was 3.2t its fail point might be 9.6t, i could be wrong, i just have a feeling that was how my boss had explained it to me

in all honesty u could buy a new indash dvd player and have it installed cheaper than u can get the factory ones fixxed,

also the satnav dvd's are suprisingly expensive, u may however be able to find someone who has the same unit as yours and burn there disc but it might be indivdualy coded

mine is a 93 and does it, i find if i feather the clutch a little as its doing it it will normal stop, so i am starting to think it might be clutch shudder, im going to have mine replaced in a few months i think just to rule it out though i tried new uni's and got the tailshaft yoke check for ...
