Re: 2H Diesel into a FJ40
Hi Loosecanon. I think it could be called a crossmember. Anyhow managed to buy one from 4wd wreckers in Marigold st, Revesby. Cost $140, what a rip off. Will fit next weekend.

Re: 2H Diesel into a FJ40
Been searching for a while for this rear mount. Seems that HJ47 parts are starting to get hard to come by. I was wondering if perhaps I can use this bracket from a 60 series. I think the 60 series chassis rail is wider so I don't mind modifying as long as its cutting shorter and re-drilling the ...

2H Diesel into a FJ40
I have a rebuilt 2H engine and a split transfer case that I would like to put into my FJ40. My question is that the rear engine supports on the FJ40 are on the bell housing. Whereas the 2H rear engine support is on the underside of the gearbox. Does anyone know if the 3 piece brackets from any other ...

Leaf selection for FJ40
I am about to install fj55 rear leafs on the rear of my fj40. Since a fj55 is heavier than the fj40 I would like to remove a few of the leafs to achieve better offroad ability, more flex. But I still would like to use as daily drive so not to soft. Does anyone have experince with selection of leafs ...

Which steering damper on fj40 with 60 power steering
I have installed power steering on my fj40 and I need to fit a damper. Do I buy a damper for a 40 , 60 series or custom? Do I need a RTC damper? Do I need to buy brackets that clamp around tie bar to give me somewhere to connect damper. Any info would be appreciated. I have read the 40 series ...

Found this manual whilst searching on the internet for bushing dimensions. Its the Bush Type Size Register for Whiteline. I'll study this on weekend and try to pick the right one. What Bush does anyone else reckon is correct? http://www.whiteline.com.au/Plus/pdf/WHITELINE%20PLUS%20BUSH%20TYPE%20SIZE ...

Rear Fj55 springs on FJ40
I have purchased a rear set of FJ55 springs for my fj40 the only problem I have is that they have large eye as apposed to small eye on 77 model fj. Does anyone now if I can sleeve the leaf spring eyes from 30mm to 25mm as to take small bushes and original pins or do I have to purchase chassis mounts ...

FJ45 2nd fuel tank
I have a fj45 with a 6 cylinder diesel and would like a greater mileage range between refuelling. Can anyone tell me if I should mount the second tank by strapping it to the bottom of the aluminium tray or should I secure it to the chassis rail. If anyone has information would be greatly appreciated.

Will I be able to engineer my SOA
I have a FJ40 that I have been Modifying over the last couple of years. I am about halfway through a SOA convertion. I was told by a fellow 4X4 driver that as from 1st June 2005 I will no longer be able to engineer this vehicle unless it has been engineered on anything else before this date, which ...
