Apart from legal crap what is stopping me striping down the front leafs on my hilux down to the main leaf only and replacing the shock with a coil over style shock.... Seam like a fairly simple way to to make the front nice and smooth with lots of travel. Am i missing something??? I am and its ...

hey man - how long did it take to do that tyre? curious cos i want to do mine sometime with a borrowed groover! =)
About 45 mins but i was stuffing round working out what i was doing, reckon i could do i better jod in about 20 mins with as bit of pratcice.

Sorted out what box it was and got a seal kit from mr ebay for $110 and im just going to rebuild it myself... I'll let you know how it goes and post a few photos.

Tyre Regrooving.

Just bought my self a tyre re-groover and have had my first go at doing a simex... Took me a fair while to do one tyre just, so i was wondering if there was any tricks and or info on how deep you can go on different tyres??

I have a std 95is in my yn67 and as far as the chassis goes a duel cab will still fit over it.... if doing serious mods then a custom center mounted tanh is the go any way.....

Did my hi-steer kit a while aog and have been strong arming the steering ( with fluid hooked up ) and have finaly got around to making custom brackets and hoses to mount my pump. Got it on it lines up, dosen't thro belts and works great, but now it seams to have a leak out of the botom of the box ...

the 60 diffs are the same width as a wide trac lux diff, so you will gain 1.5 inches per side. with mine i am running 60 front diff with 1.5 inch spacers and standard rear diff with 3 inch spacers. a wide trac rear diff is no stronger than your current diff, and as buddy agreed, there is no point ...

I am putting twin lockrites in my yn67 and am very interested in the leavers that lockted up sell for hi vs low and 2 vs 4 for the gear driven transfer case, has any one had any experance with them?? cos on paper they seem that best set up for me...

Someone told me that you can't blow up a 3/4y.. So have a TD04 of a wrx ($50) to a blowthrough webber carb ( from RECARB $500) with a targo electoric dissy($80) set up waiting for the plumbing to test this fact... ill let you know how it goes..

All i can think off is tires and drive line.. Dose it make a dif under load or not ect???? I have had a bad clutch and bad tire that have caused the same syptoms, elem thoses before you blame the donk.

measure your shock points at both high/low flex and buy the shock vs load you need... NOT always what the book says for your car, you would be amazed at what you can find from Truck ECT that will work in other apps.
