I fitted a t400 to mine and had to cut 50mm off the output shaft of the auto. With the auto and adapter in it added 300mm to the length of the engine/gearbox/transfer combo over the old 4sp. I ended up moving the engine forward 100mm and transfer back 200mm as with the swb the rear driveshaft would ...

What do you need the divorced type transfer for? The adapter I got was for the Attached type transfer ;) Or are you going to do it another way?

I dare say you will have to move transfer and get shafts modified. There is not much room in front of a V8 with only being moved 100mm forward. If it is a LWB i would move the transfer rather than the engine as moving the engine forward moves the main weight forward and affects steering etc aswell.

I should add that there is a lot more to putting the auto in then originally thought. The engine ,gearbox, transfer combo was 300mm longer with the auto and adapter than the original combo with V8. Engine had to be moved forward 100mm and transfer back 200mm, this was in a shorty could get away with ...

It is on a MQ swb. It is only lifted maybe 2" plus 2" bodylift and Im not planning on lifting it anymore than that. It doesnt get used at high speed in 4wd.
Might have to look at getting another end for the shaft and get rid of the cardin joint.
Thanks for the help.

First thing I would check is the filter in the gas line, sounds like it is blocked and not allowing it to flow the gas properly stopping the adjustments to be made properly.
When are you coming to tamworth next, I will have a look at it for you if we can organise it.

Cant remember how much the airtek is. It doesnt come with a new airbox just a piece that you add to your current one. Just requires a little bit of cutting of existing airbox then silastic and rivet new piece on.

I fitted the airtek snorkel to our GQ 2.8td. It gives you a bit to add to the original airbox and saves moving anything.

How old is your fuel filter could be getting blocked. Also check the filters in the bottom of the fuel pumps.
