Having problems getting the truck into low range.
the leave will move up to 4hilock and then slide sideways but not enuff to allow the leave to slide forwards to pickup 4lolock
any ideas on what may be the problem.

My high Low transfer box is cliking when in 4 low in 2nd gear while under power. i beleave it is the chain slipping. This is the second time that i have had to fix this. Last time i had to replace the hole unit. Is there any way in helping to stop this problem i have or am i just to hard on the ...

How hard will it be to swap over a 2.8 TDi into a 91 Jtop which has a 2.5.
reason being is thatt the 2.5 it dieing slowly.

this may be a silly question. i was out wheeling on the weekend and found i had a small surge when driving up the hill in 4x4 high. this did not happen offen. felt like when u drive over ice the wheel slips. i did mine with a mate at a garage with a host. it took me about 6 hours in and out.
the mate helped lift it out and back in once i had the new transfer box on.
