Fuel pump control is not needed. The best way to control the fuel pump on this engine is to use a tacho-metric relay (used in LPG systems) They switch on when they see a tacho signal.

Throttle control i could only assume is cruise control or tractrion control, Either way not needed.

just got to get a hammer and bend the seam over near the mud flap and they will clear with stock suspension and are you sure it has a 4y or a 22R, if your going to do any lift don`t touch the torsion bars better of doing a body lift

I just bought a 1991 4 Runner with 4Y engine (R&P 4.88) and will swap it for a 3L soon.

Question is, am I able to fit 33X12,50 only swapping the front fenders with no lift :?:

4Runner 4Y --> 3L Swap

Hi guys, I made a long search with no results

I would like to swap a 4Y petrol engine by a 3L diesel. So questions are:

- What do I need to swap it? (My 4Y is married with a G52 tranny)
- Which are the stock R&P for a 3L equipped toy? (I have 4.88)
- Any other issue that will hep me?

Not at all.

Fire wall is absolutelly different, tranny tunnel is not as wider, tranny stick hole is diferent, dashbords nuts are lower, body studs are shorter, rubber body mounts are smaller.

All other things are the same. I mounted a SJ410 body over my Samurai, using a Samurai Resine Top and old ...

how much work is involved in putting duel t/cases in a suzuki tray back and how do you mount the two cases together????

Lots. I am doing this in my LWB, as when I started building it you couldn't even get an S1 let alone an S3. More importantly, there is lots of custom work - mounts, driveshafts ...
