in regards to upgrading gu brakes bu fitting the 4.8 patrol pads to the diesels, ive just had a look at the bendix website and they list the same part number for both, can you shed any more info on this?

we kept bending the gq crossmember in our comp truck so we removed it all together, made up a new crossmember the mounts with gq control arm bushes to the rails, on the driver side the mount goes up and over the tail shaft, i dont have any pics im sorry, imagine a mount shaped like this > o--v^o ...

we tried fitting gear box cross member spacers, which helped a touch, we then fitted adjustable upper arms, which helped a bit more,

we finaly fixed it by fitting a hi pinion rear diff, now no dramas what so ever,

is your shorty lifted? if so, we had the same problem with my sisters shorty, turned out to be actually coming from the rear drive shaft,

in saying that, theres nothing sayin that you dont have wheel bearing problems, or something else

there should be a label in the engine bay somewhere that quotes how much its meant to take, i know my VX has it, i think it was somewhere around 800ish grams or something,

i agree DRS the only thing on our truck no legal is the cage and the 37's, everything else is on the engineers report and listed with the RTA,

bring on next year cant wait no matter what the rules are,

Steve i think this fellow is talking about the RB30 patrol with is GQ, and im 99% sure that all the GQ radiator support pannels are the same,

when i turbo'd my gq, i had the cast air filter shousing that sits over the motor, i removed it an fitted a zd30 filter box, fits between the head light and duel battry tray, i did find in mine it was tight with the ARB tray, so i moved the tray rearwards 50mm, this included reshaping the inner ...

i know there is a difference between gu wagon sway bars, the earlyer swaybars were like 16mm, and the later were about 18mm i think, i had a sway prob when i was getting engineered,wasnt till i compared them i found the difference, just for your info the 98 gu had the 16mm, and my 02 had the 18mm ...

Does your computer have a constan power source,

when we put a vs v8 into my patrol, we missed one wire, and that was the constasnt power for the computer, without it, we had no injector pulse

that have a 147L that sits in the original spot then also goes up and over the tail shaft, it suits the leaf spting and cab chassis, so you might need to call em and check,
