350 chev accessories in gq

hey,

I am planning a 350 chev straight gas conversion and am trying to sort out the front of the engine.

What is the best accessory setup to keep AC?
Can I use the ps and AC from the tb42?
There is two length water pumps, which is best?

I had a long look through the searches but couldnt find an ...

I have a denco one, and the flange is t3.

Only thing I dont like is the turbo is quite far back towards the firewall, so the dump pipe needed extra work to make up, and is closer to the firewall than I would like.

Not sure if the other option is any better.

cheers.

400 cfm gas research big enough for turbo tb42?

Hi,

I know people always reference the 440 as the one to go for, but for around 170kw atw's is the 400 big enough?

It would be with twin b2's and twin tank lines.

Just found one cheap, so I was hoping it would be enough.

cheers.

cooki, thanks for the input.

Just to clarify a couple of things.

Do you drill out and tap the metal lid in the same place as the smaller barb is now?

Where is the ideal place for the pressure feed end of the hose?
I would assume tapping the side of the mixer would be a no go

ive now figured out that you need to drill and tap the convertor to take a 1/2 inch barb fitting, which you run to the pressure feed

Only problem is, the convertor has a plastic lid.

Any ideas?

it has a small hose running from the top side of the mixer, to the front convertor. 1/4 or 5/16.

The only other hose off the convertor is the gas feed hose - 1 inch.

If you pm me your email, I can send you a pic

If that balance hose is running from the wrong place, does that mean it will need to ...

Impco 425 setup on a turbo tb42

hi,

I have a impco 425 blow through setup on my turbo tb42.

It is hesitating badly during high throttle gear changes, or high to low boost changes, like when you boot it hard, then back off and return to cruise throttle.
It feels like the diaphram is being negatively affected by the boost, which ...

Nissan Aus don't get squat out of an imported gu shorty.

If they let everybody import cheap cars, who would buy all the crappy new ones?
Then, who would employ the people who work there?

When I was in the import business, these was the reasons I was given.

NZ doesn't have any car manufacturers, so there is no one to protect from the influx of cheap cars.

hey guys,

I have the dreaded floor knock on the drivers side and was thinking of changing the body mounts as I don't think it is a cracked floor, firewall etc.

I saw these on ebay:
