not worth the trouble unless you have a Diesel engine fitted.

you will need the modify the rear of the tank or make new brackets to secure the tank in place and if you have an EFI Petrol you will need to setup an external efi fuel pump and this can get quite $$$.

It's not that simple you will be able to use the bellhousing adapter but you WILL need to get a crankshaft adapter to bolt up the strange torque convertor setup!

the 727 auto rangie's have a solid front t shaft and they just don't look very strong have a look at yours and you will see what i mean.

The Factory zf rangies have an alloy tunnel top that unbolts as do the 727 rangies but i dont know if the bolt holes are in the same position!

the t/shafts are the same length but you might want to fit a tube style front shaft !

The only other thing is if you change the alloy top on the tunnel with a factor ZF style so you won't need to stuff around trying to mount the
ZF T bar as it wont fit in the 727 tbar slot with some cutting.

I have a book called "Range Rover A History" and there is an article on a 24 speed gear conversion using a Ford BW35 Auto and the Rangie
4 speed manual.

It has a pic from inside the Rangie showing a Tbar and a shortened 4 speed manual shifter and set well back is the hi/low lever.

There is ...

Maxi drive axles strength

I have just stripped my rear Maxi Drive apart and found that BOTH axles are twised on the splines at both ends of each axle.

Has anyone else had this happen?

I was led to believe this locker was low klm and had an easy life in a near stock Rangie and the rest of the internals are undamaged ...

The springs seem quite soft and i get a fair amount of body roll.

The springs were supplied and fitted by Calbah and i don't know the specs.
And they measured closer to 19 1/2" tall

They are a full weld in kit and handle well on road.

I think he sells the kits for around $2500 installed

but it would be best to contact Chester at Calbah directly to talk price.

I would have to check with Chester but i think mine is the ONLY Rangie with a Calbah front end.

It runs two arms each side instead of the Standard Radius arms.
It also has adjustable caster.

With this kit i can disslocate 20" front springs with 14" travel shockies.
