Just wondering if it would be possible to fit a 1vd land cruiser diesel engine into a mid-late model hilux?

He has been running a Dtronic chip on it but the check engine light comes on if u hit the loud pedal in the wrong gear and looses power, knock it down a gear and it's fine. Well I finaly sold the feroza, handed the keys over to the new owner yesturday :(

If I was to get another small 4by the feroza would be on the top of the list.

I can now consentrate on doing a few things to my hilux

As far as I know the 1KZ and the 5L are completly different engines so I doubt the exhaust manifold would fit unless u get someone to make up a manifold to suit.

Have also heard the 5L is weak and dont like much boost but not sure how good the source is.

If all else fails u cud go a roller bearing garret, say a GT2560r w/o cooled with a custom manifold and a straight 3" mandrel pipe. I was looking into building a bored out turbo, intercooled, gas injected, chipped 5LE but did the sums and the 1UZ conversion seems better bang for buck, Will be ...

Is anyone running 17 inch steel rims on there LN167R hilux I wanna put a set on mine so i can put a set of 245/70r17 BFG muds on the lux.

Was told 17's may hit on the brake caliper. Is this correct

I want to know if it's normal for the oil pressure light to stay on for about 3-4 senconds when you first start the engine cold. If not what can I do to fix the problem?
It's an 1/05 with 44000km on the clock.

Well I have just purchased an 05 single cab 3 litre EFI hilux. So the feroza will be up 4sale very soon :cry: Will get a few little things fixed first and detail it up then I'll sell it.
