a mate's got a 80 seriers 3f petrol, and is having carby drama's,
what would be the best option, rebuild carby or holley,

and also big drama with spark from dizzy,
is a eletronic dizzy the go, or maybe just a lobe sensor,

and how much and where at,

what date are the forms looking at being available,

ive had a question from a member,
he's keen on competing with his comp car, but was wanting to know if he brakes that car,
can he put his tow vehicle in as reserve, and he drives that (under reserve rules),

at the moment i have 3rds lower arms, but need longer arms because of the lift,

just wanting to know who does the best price on extended or adjustable heavy duty arms,

we are looking at getting 3 sets,

yeah, im thinking something has happens to the ignitor,

the only two ways i wired it up was red wire from ignitor to power side of ballist resistor and black wire from from ignitor to neg on coil,

and red wire fron ignitor to pos on coil and black wire from ignitor to neg on ...

When you say earth on the coil, you mean the coil negative terminal don't you?, not the earth bracket that holds the coil on...[/quote]

yeah, black wire from ignitor to neg on coil,

ok,
i have 9volts from the coil lead to through the dizzy cap, but no spark to anything else,

i'm thinking the timing is out heaps,

what should it be set at????
how many degree's before top dead center???

is that enough for it to start,

just tested it, and it was 9volts winding over,

its showing 9volts from the coil lead aswell, (distributor end)

is that what you mean,

here's where im at,

0.00ohms at the ignitor earth, thats that sorted,

11.84volts @ ignitor wires with power on, (battery's on charge, so may go up)

5.10volts @ the coil, (with power on,)

11.77volts @ ballist resistor (with power on)

does that sound about right,

here's where im at,

0.00ohms at the ignitor earth, thats that sorted,

11.84volts @ ignitor wires with power on, (battery's on charge, so may go up)

5.10volts @ the coil, (with power on,)

11.77volts @ ballist resistor (with power on)

i have cleaned up all the earths i can find,
and still 0.5ohms,
even when i run a wire from neg on the battery to the multi meter and back to the neg on battery, it shows 0.5ohms,

im changing back to points tomorrow, i've had enough of being stuffing around,

retro rockets got back to me today and give me some ideas to look at,

they said to run a wire from the neg on batt to the black wire on the multi meter and red wire from multi meter to ignitor base plate,
i should get 0.2ohms, and i had 0.8ohms,
so i cleaned up under the ignitor, under the earth ...

yeah, will test that tomorrow and post up results
