$150 to chip them, and they fly.. soooo much nicer to drive now... 2.8's don't need to be a slug.

Is running nos in a winch challenge truck allowed? Vic winch, engel ser, ect CCDA states: 4.1.15 FUEL Fuel used shall be limited to that available from retail fuel outlets. Nos is available at retail outlets so i'd suggest it can be used, but will marshalls interprit this rule as they please ...

I had a shorty with a baby seat, it was fine for day trips etc. However I wouldn't want to put a young baby in thats still facing backwards, it'd be pretty awkward to do. The space in a shorty for camping gear isn't great if you have the back seat down, only about 1 - 2 feet.. You'd probably want a ...

I did mine a while ago.. a little neater than that, but certainly no work of art. One tip, don't use a hot glue gun to make a box outa ply.. i did and it was all fine for ages, then in the week of 45c we had a while ago, the glue softened and the box fell to bits.. I still have to get around to ...

While you're trying to do a good thing here. Buying an engine to leave in the garage just in case yours blows isn't exactly what most people would do. You're really after 10 people that have a dead engine right now. Which with ZD30's might be the case! but not too likely. Unless there are a few ...

On my 2.8.. I recently got 2.5" exhaust and it made a reasonable difference, still no rocket ship, but certainly much nicer to drive now. I guess it all depends how much extra power you're after... EDIT: my exhaust was $750ish, mandel bend etc.. very happy with it.. from ringwood performance exhaust.

Perhaps the solution isn't in regulating the vehicles, but more in teaching the drivers to have respect for their environment and the hobby/ sport which they participate in. I'm not sure how feasable it would be but perhaps some type of driver education program run ...

there's always debate over 2.5 / 2.75 or 3" for the 2.8.. I recently got a 2.5 on mine and its makes a big difference, turbo kicks in at about 1200 now.. not 1800ish like stock, bit more power all over.. 5th gear is now useful for city driving unlike before. lotsa threads on this on patrol4x4.com

I agree PA can be a bummer if its in the wrong spot, but you can easy fix it with a low power FM Transmitter that can get temp TX approval , and everyone can tune in on there walkman or other FM receiver with ear phones.
