ok people, finally got the parts out of the old car, now time to offload the leftovers, complete rolling body minus driveline so, the 4.6L was found good and rebuilt and put into the 1990 along with the LT230 and ZF auto, plus the maxi locker and maxi drag links if anyone is interested in either ...

ok, decided im going to strip the 1988 over my xmas break, so keep an eye on here for when parts come available

ok, so once i have pulled apart what i want from the 1988, will anyone be interested in taking over he rest for parts?

i have a 1988 rangie, iv been driving it for 10yrs, now time to put it to rest, with its 4.6L motor (no.8 cylinder no compression) but the rest of the car is ok, open to thoughts of swapping the lt230 into the 1990 and swap the maxi rear locker, then offload the rest i have recently purchased a 1990 ...

i got the 4.11's to put under my rangie with 33's, some people say the 4.11's match 33's gearing, others say 35's right now i dont have the spare time or money to set these into my car, if i were to, i would look into pegging the diffs, but no idea how much it would cost, so therefore im leaving my ...

check the linkages under the car, maybe some fresh oil in the trasfer may help, it may not have been engaged in years so may need some freeing up

maybe the diff centres could be up for an overhaul,

have you checked uni's in your drive shafts?

i have a pair new still in boxes, not yet fitted to diffs, asking $900 plus postage if interested

have you checked the rear trailing arm bushes onto chassis? sometimes they let go, im running taller springs under my rangie

i have some standard height springs sitting around in a shed and some others still under a spare parts car in newy, can play around on weekends if needed

looks like a lovely restore project instead of cutting up

air flow meter might need rebuilding/tuning

check the ratio's, a rangie is 3.54:1 , i think the early series landies are something like 4.7:1?? but it should say on the diff housing somewhere

hey was just wondering if anyone has pics of how they slot their swivels, i assume you are rotating the hubs to standard angle and then drilling out new holes?
