Here is a pic in the early days with 33" BFG's, good tuff car, but we bought it rolled, Sandy fixed it, then 2 weeks after it was fixed truck ran into it and did $10,000 damage, fix it again (insurance), then I rolled it about 6 months later, didn't bother trying to buy it back off insurance and ...

I used to own a RJ70 Bundera, it was a great car, comfortable on the road but offroad I found it very unstable especially when I was running 35" BFG's under it (no body lift). Be very cafeful when buying one though because if something does go wrong with a Bundera parts & panels can be hard and ...

If I was getting clucky we would be buying a wagon not a shorty, but I think we will end up with a wagon, but not for the baby factor! Just because they will be easier to find...

If you are lucky like we were we picked up the motor, turbo and wiring for $800. There wasn't too much messing around with putting the motor in the car apart from a few minor mods and getting your head around setting up the wiring. We have fitted a 3" mandrel exhaust system with s stainless muffler ...

From what I have been told there are 3 different GQ Gearboxs and all that is different is the ratios between gears. If you need further info, PM me with you number and I will give you the number of a guy that knows more about them than I do.

We have put a 3l VL Turbo motor into my SWB Mav, more power than you would think. It has 175kw at the wheels, when all is running right at about 15lb boost. I would never bother about putting a V8 in a GQ, I would just turbo them, that way you won't have quite so many teething problems and it's alot ...

Re: Another Tyre Nightmare

I was up at Go Down on the weekend and Chris Hummer (Mr. Simex) had the new 36/12.5 ET on display, he has flown over 20 tyres for the Outback Challenge. I'm sure that will test them out.

Re: What snorkel to buy

I'm thinking of fitting a snorkel to my Bundera (having some pinging problems because of under bonnet temp's), and was just wondering what brands other people recommend. By the way, the vehicle is a 1985 Bundera. I used to own a 1988 Bundera and found the best snorkel to fit was to suit an 80 ...

I found the X Terrains are a good all rounder. They are quiet and handle well on the road, but they won't work as well as a swamper in the really wet conditions, but that's the kind of comprimise you've got to make. Think about it, how often do you really need to run swampers?? We only do in ...

Go the X Terrains, used them the first time on the weekend and they worked a treat all around at Cruiserkhana. I would recommend them to anyone. I was a bit sceptical at first, but now I'm impressed!!
