Re: lift 7" or 4"
I have 4in flexi coils and run 35's with no scrubbing. 4in lift is plenty for 35's, the more lift the less stability you will have. If you run a X link in the front and longer shocks with coil retainers and drop out cones in the rear , you will have plenty of flex. You will also not draw to much ...

Re: 3" lift w/ procomp shocks
My GU has a arb full roof rack which I fill as well as fill the back of the wagon and I tow a Jayco Hawke offroad caravan , my springs havn't sagged . As for road handling I run sway bars with quick dissconnects and it handles well for a 4in lifted truck. I previously had a GQ with 2in spring and ...

Re: 3" lift w/ procomp shocks
Mate I run 4in dobbo flexi coils all round with Big''O'' drop arms in the front . In the rear I have 16mm longer arms top and bottom with the longest procomp shocks possible. Doing this you need to retain the coil to the diff and fit dropout cones to the top . My shock part numbers are as follows ...

td4.2t x3 Don't waste your time on a 3lt grenade (early 3lt gu's) If you are goin to run decent rubber of tow, you will find the 2.8 underpowered. If you hunt around you will find a good 4.2, but it will take some finding. I have recently brought a td4.2t GU, I searched all over the eastern states ...

I brought a set when they first come on the scene. I previously had the old pattern and they proved to be good for the money, so I thought I'd give them another go. I put them on my tourer GQ Patrol in a 31-10.5r15 and I have only just taken them off and they still had 25% tread. My Gq was my DD and ...

I retained the factory nissan powersteer pump and made my own mounting bracket off the front of the passenger side head. I also made it so that the alternater water pump belt is the same length, belt so I only have to carry one spare. The chassie rail isn't a drama as the nissan pump is smaller. I ...

WIRING DRAMA'S ??????????????????
I have just done an auto to manual conversion on my GQ Mav. With the wiring I left the auto wiring in and disconnected the inhibiter plugs conected the speedo and transfer back up as well as the reverse wiring. I then bridged the inhibiter wiring at the plugs so it will start. The problem that I ...
Did my 2 " body lift yesterday I unbolted everything and simply used two bottle jacks and did one side at a time. I put one jack on the back tyre with wood on top and jacked the wheel arch and placed the other jack on top of the front coil mount and jacked the front wheel arch. This was an easy way ...
