Reply I received back from them today in regards to new classes:
The difference is in the Extreme Modified and Outlaw.

1. Standard Increase in tyre size only

2. Basic Modified 1 form of traction control ie locker. 35inch tyre are deemed a form of traction control

3. Extreme modified is for cars that are locked front and back tyre size to 35inch

4. Outlaw must have roll cage and window nets with helmets.
So from what I read there, I can still run Basic Modified with my 75 series running 35's but I can't use my locker.

If I want to use my locker, I am placed into Extreme Modified.

Thats more than fair I reckon.
If its not upside down and on fire, I'm not trying hard enough.......

Forget what class and just drive the tracks and have fun.
Let Brendan descide on the day. Don't be scared to be put up against different cars, just drive it

I think you got that quote back to front, nearly no one will run an open rear and a locker up front, thats asking for trouble for your front drive line.
A locker in the front of the jeep will go better, in any truck, its been proven over and over.

ill be runnung the 2nd modified class, wotever its called. 1 lsd, no other lockers, 35's in a 60 series. dont see a problem with others using one air locker to my lsd. like red24 says, in the end it all comes down to the driver n the lines chosen. beside who really cares? entry fee is tiny, its all fun, and if we start fighting over it, the comp will dissapear, like has happened so many times before. keep it fun

hey timbotim, where did u learn to type all of a sudden. that must have taken you 2 days to put those specs up :) and red24, i was parked in the camp site for most the day with a broken tailshaft, after trying to drive an outlaw line. better than your reason for being broken :D :finger: :finger:

im confused wit all these rules. just bring what u got, n sort out what class your in when u get there. u dont 'have' to drive anything u dont want to, fun event n all that.

You would be in the Extreme modified class. However if you fit the lockers but don't use them then you would be in basic modified except for the 4" lift.

Otherwise as long as the Jeep survives the Logan Challenge we will be having fun beating some Patrols and Cruisers :D :D :D :D :D

TIM It was an example to state the fairness of running 2 traction aids that is alll

plus there are a fair few trucks getting around that have open front and back then decide to buy front locker first

Not that I care, but if I am running lockers front and rear and don't use them, then I would still be in Basic modified?

What about the notorious Toyota LSD's that turn into open wheelers one poofteenth of a second after they are installed lol :lol:

i would love to c 3 inch lift, 35's and open centers on a truck.

please fell free to correct me if im wrong in saying
tyres would rub like hell

i now have three inch coils in my patrol with 33's and my inner gaurd is bare metal tyres hit before shocks max out so how would 35's work (off road) on road i could fit easy but flex no way
