just fit the diffs and modify the hilux tailshafts to suit. you will need to machine the pinion flanges and transfer flanges and then redrill them as Damo said.

as Mick said the side gears are different front to rear. they have different sized splines. depending on the type of lock rite you may be able to move it to the front. do this and then weld up the rear. I know a couple of people who have front cig lockers and they say they would never do it again ...

Dead Zook

thats right my mrs killed her zook, it asked for oil and she didn't feed it. so its time to upgrade the little 1L for something decent. just wondering what motors you have seen fitted and what your thoughts are on them. want something that comes with a 5 speed, possibly that has a fuel injected ...

fit a relays for both high and low beam and use heavy duty cable for the wiring. the high wattage bulbs your using may draw too much current for the standard wiring. this may generate too much heat and let the smoke out.

well I may be a bit byest for the gemini, but why not try the 1800 gemini with either 5 speed or auto. or even the 2L G200 rodeo motor. I think this would be a great swap and am considering doing it myself, but want to save up a bit first. the advantage of an auto will be good for crawling, but not ...

yeah, the harnesses are great but a pain in the a$$ on daily drivers. I prefer the non adjusting belts as they don't pull tight on you on rough roads. I usually don't wear my belt when playing anyway.....shhhh :D would like a retractable one on LH side as I always have to adjust it for everyone.

you will have to do something about it as positive caster makes the steering heavy (not a major problem in a zook), but you will have to rotate the diff to correct the pinion angle which will put the caster back near standard anyway.

IMO the Nissan LSD is the best LSD on the market. leave it in the rear and fit the air locker in the front, and when cash permits fit a rear air locker. take advantage of what stuff you have factory first then replace when the cash flow is better.
