the dam slip yoke slipped out when i replaced the uni joints and now theres a vibration at around 100km,,,,,,,, reason why i did not mark it befor hand was that i had no intention of removing the slip yoke...... ive tried to re align it and iam sick of doing it after 6 bloody goes who in brisbane ...

get a socke that fits the exact size of the cap and belt the living shit of of the socket to either the cap breaks apart of it pushed all the way in and pop the cap on the other side out

next best thing to try would be to stuff abit of chicken wire behind the hole to give it abit for rigity and then give that a good chunk of that steel bog shit then let it dry and set rock hard then go over that with the normal bog and maybe do it in stages letting layers dry befor going on or you ...

if there was a bullet proof type center bearing it would kinda defeat the reason for one
but id say its ya lift thats putting strain on it
that and its doing 4wd often enough and it would get dirt and crap on it which drys and acts like sand papper and thus give it a bigger chance to fail

OK about 2 weeks ago i had to change the uni joints ( anyway i havd the intire shaft out and was getting the fuckers out as they had rusted in and i turned to grab the hammer off the wall and some out the shaft tilted down and the fucking shaft fell out of the slip joint.compltley fell out at this ...

Not sure if you'd like this suggestion but early model (02-04) petrol Terracan's can be had for sub 20's. Just a re-skinned Paj I think. don't discount them. They have the same basic running gear and chassis as the old Paj (pre IFS/IRS). TD seems to be ok too (no reported reliability probs in 4 yrs ...
