Modnam,
I had 80 series Landcrusher all round in my Disco. Fronts needed the towers raised about 1/2" as you say, and the rears bolted in upside down. That doesn't worry Bilsteins.
Seems to work quite well as a package.
Regards
Max P

Check out the equivalent of the Associations Incorporation Act. Every state has one. There should be some model rules in there. If not, the NSW model does. Just make sure theres a non-profit clause in there i.e. a ban on distributions to members. There should be a clause to the effect "in the event ...

Tdi Clutch woes
Has anyone got a decent clutch setup in a Tdi? Mine's gone after 12 months. One before didn't last that long either, but the original went 190,000 kms. Apparently a custom multi-plate setup will be $2000-3000, or a button clutch could go in. Got a button in the race car - great for dropping the ...

Sway Bar Disconnects
What do you guys think of this design? m Seems to me to be quite neat. Easy to use, and no hassles with tying up the bar out of the way somewhere. Only problem I can forsee is whether it might bind as the bar ends are forced to move through an arc coz of the panhard rod. Ive got a Selbys item on the ...

The early design isn't intergrated. So heat only comes from the demister and floor heater, as you say. It gets worse. Noticed how useless the air con is on the fresh air setting? This just sets the recycle air con to the low fan setting, and draws fresh air in from oustside. When it gets warm inside ...

Why are Landrover taillights full of water?
For the answer, go to the Landrover anti-FAQ at
http://www.fourfold.org/LR_FAQ/FAQ.6.taylorFAQ.html
or drive around Sydney at the moment. When's the rain going to stop?

McNamara also makes 4.1s but I was advised to stay away, Not as strong, uses spacers etc. Ashcroft ones are apparently the go. I ended up swapping the Lt230 1.2 hi range gear for a defender 1.4. Same effect, although defender transfer cases are getting hard to find. And I had the maxidrive crawler ...

Sounds like its tramping under power. But if springs were the only thing changed, it shouldn't be shocks or bushes.. The nose up might be the answer. Does it tramp both ways, left & right? If not, its probably something to do with the panhard rod. Is the angle excessive? My guess is if it tramps ...

I've got the 30% maxidrive crawler, and I'm impressed. Rockcrawling is much easier, more controlled. But not only the performance, the quality seems better. No backlash, but they do howl. (I assume they're straight cut?) Looked at putting 4.1 diffs in, but the maxidrive was cheaper. And Hi range is ...
