Port jobs on these are of some help but i dont think it is the best thing you can do with them. As a package a cleanup along with good valve springs and attention to the cooling side of things works well.

Billet stroker crank.

Cost is not pocket change obviously, but still a fair less than the Crower kit.
What capacity will this give, same as the crower kit???

If you are aiming for that sort of power then do a 4" snorkel to start with rather than doing a little one first. Also yes the factory turbo air filter is borderline for stock power so upgrade early, 80,75 and 60 airboxes can be had cheap and fit in with a few mods and the filters flow enough for ...

The head issues can be linked to poor cooling system design
but this can be overcome with a few mods and the engines made to perform more efficiently and reliably. They are not a state of the art
engine for sure but you'll have to weigh up the costs of conversions Vs
rebuild/modify.

Naturally aspirated td42, 315s and crap fuel economy go hand in hand.
The drum thing is Nissans version of a cyclonic pre-cleaner.

The turbo from a 4L falcon might be a good start for what you want, there must be a lot of people out there who've upgraded and have one to hock off.
They don't get up graded that often being a 700hp capacity turbo
but there may be a few in the wreckers though......Krimnl??

Our 8274 drum has been widened (2 inch) and the diameter reduced (halved) and we ran 60m of 11mm for the OBC last year. With the 20m extension we JUST made it for two of the crossings in the mud.
