sounds like it. was the clutch new? you might have misaligned it removing or reinstalling the box. I've done that before and seen a perfectly good clutch ruined.

the fsm says oil pressure should be 36 to 85 psi at 3000rpm. (and at least 4.3 at idle)

High oil pressure is common in a 2h caused by the relief valve sticking. That could be your problem.

NSW car licence is up to 4.5 tonne and 12 or less seats.

The only advantage to registering it as a bus i can think of is being able to park in bus parking areas and loading zones, and using bus lanes (which is great in sydney)

In NSW a bus is any vehicle with 8 or more seats.

I don't need to own a v8 100 to know that is crap. they might get 20l towing the 30 footer to the ramp 2 kays away on the odd weekend.

basically there are only two types of plugs in toyotas since the late 80's, and the wiring is basically the same. the main difference is some have physically smaller plugs.

They're not everywhere, but I have seen a 4.5 petrol 80 for 6 grand. bit muddy from use no doubt. that was a private sale here in newey.

Also seen a pov pack diesel at a car yard for 8 grand.

i assume by pinion you mean the output flange - which isn't actually a pinion. either way the bearing is knackered.

Couldn't tell you how much it would cost, but i doublt it would be much. as far as i know there is know special tools or heavy lifting involved.

I don't think the demand is that great these days for them. 80 series petrol and base model diesels can be had for 7-8k. Frankly i wouldn't pay more than 4-5k for it. Having said that some sucker might come along and pay 10 grand for it if you make it look pretty.

I'm thinking a cheap 60 with some money spent on good suspension and offroad gear might be a better option than a overpriced 80 ...

i have the hand pump you put on a 20l drum. Works well but is a pain as a one man job unless you're under a hoist.

other option i've used is a cheap drill operated oil/water pump you can buy from bunnings. That and some clear ttubing and a cordless drill is pretty easy and clean.

if it happened suddenly it's probably not the plugs, but the timer/relay/fuse or a wire somewhere. I think the timer and relay are one unit.

if the plugs are original they could probably do with replacing anyway

edit - It may also be at the back of the motor on no.6 plug. there is a metal bridge ...

don't think not being a nissan has anything to do with it. just refill the rad (and fix the leak) and try and start it. if it idles fine take it for a spin. (make sure you leave it idling with the rad cap off to bleed air though)

any movement is bad imo. is it weeping (usually from the bottom)? for the cost of a water pump, and the fact it's a one banana job i'd go ahead and swap it.

smack the starter with a lump of wood or a hammer if that gets it going, the starter is rooted.

otherwise check the wire running from the battery to the starter is secure, and there is no water/mud/other shit stuck in the little rubber cap on the starter end (that could be shorting to the starter ...
