Landcruiser parts catalog

Does anyone have or know where I can find an illustrated parts catalog for Landcruisers? I have several models and need to be able to source parts by genuine p/n's. Thanks

Re: tailshaft splines

I had a sprung over, reverse shackled 40 that I made a front shaft for using an old front Hilux shaft spline which is about twice as long as a 40 series spline. Same tube diameter but you have to get the tube length just right or it will pop out. Otherwise you can buy a PTO spline and female couplin...

Isuzu 4BD1T in a Landie????

Sorry guys, I know nothing about Landie's. I had this motor in a Landcruiser once and loved it. Is it a difficult conversion in a defender? I heard they used them in some Counties at one stage? Cheers.

Landcruiser 60 auto trans slippage

Got a 60 here with a440f auto and 230k on the clock. Clutch is slipping in 3rd and 4th. Oil level is ok, colour is reasonable. Is it up for reco or is there any ways around this? Cheers

The chassis widths vary depending on the year model of your 40. A g/box cross member from an '80 - '84 model is 625 at the front and 640 at the rear as the chassis tapers. PM me if you need one. Cheers.

A pto for a H55F will not fit to all those models. I don't think 40s camo out with the same transfer. That being said a 40 pto can be modified to work on a h55f transfer case. Post 1980 40's had the same transfer. The front halves varied between 4 and 5 speeds and the output shaft length varied for...

ive seen pto winches that are different widths.. even one off a 60 (supposedly) that wouldn't fit on another 60. does the pto have a cradle? can you measure the width between the rails to confirm what it will fit? oh.. and are you talking about the PTO box that bolts to the transfer or the entire t...

Landcruiser PTO interchangeability

I'm looking at a Landcruiser PTO here off a 60 series. I'm guessing the PTO unit will fit any 40/60 or 75 4sp/5sp or auto gearbox from 1980 - 1990 and any HZJ with the H55F 5 speed. Can anyone confirm this? I know the pre '80 transfer bolt up is completely different. Thanks

12H-T that won't rev?

My HJ61 has some issues. Seems to be starving for fuel. No air leakage but just won't rev hard. Takes ages to get up to 80KPH and crawls up hills at 40 or so. Motor has done 228K and is in great condition. I have done the filter and checked the inline gauze in the pump inlet. Any ideas?

Hey mate, what did you do about the return line to the tank for injector cooling? as the HJ60 doesn't run a return line apart from the one to the back of the pump.

If yours is 1980 - 1984 just upgrade your pump to an '85 - '89 pump. They are much stronger and less prone to leakage. You will need to change the mounting brackets to as they differ. Otherwise the 60 setup should turn any tyres pretty easy.

Yeah, pre 1980 tranny handbrakes won't fit the split 5 speed transfer anyway unfortunately.

Yeah, I guess i'd rather be playing with backing plates, a cables and a little bit of welding rather that splitting both transfer and swapping bits over. Had a bad experience years ago watching my own car roll down a hill into my mates ute after I blew a rear diff AND a CV at the same time. No handb...

Jeez, that's cheap considering the front use to go for $1K on there own.

Surely the centre would be worth $400 or so. Will probably strip it.

It did have FW hubs but they were gone before I got it. 60 series will go on though.

This is 1000mm as well
