Hi guys.. the steering box on my '89 sierra is rooted, it's completely seized and unrepairable..

I've been looking around for about 2 weeks but nobody seems to have one, anybody on here know where I could find one?

One Stop Suzi Shop told me I was snapping accelerator cables often because I didn't have my smaller earth connection connected from the battery to the body.

Coming off the battery's negative terminal there should be a short wire that grounds to the firewall. I had snapped mine so what happens is ...

Mine doesn't turn on unless its on recirculation either. So I think that's standard

Ok I've hooked it all up properly and it is running better now.

Here.. this should make it easier.. Somebody tell me where 1,2,3 and 4 need to be plugged into or blocked off.

Edit: Keep in mind I am now running the hoses differently.
Line 1 is going to nothing (but has vacuum)
Line 2 is now running to my distributor
Line 3 is running to some switch on radiator ...

Just wondering, you have connected the pvc valve back up, in your second pic. The valve out of the intake manifold. Also do youe self a favour and rotate the carb 180 deg so the fuel bowl is at the back of the carb, stops floodin up hill. Check your linkages on the primary and secondary shafts and ...

Ok I've plugged the distributor line into the nipple that is in the first picture above. Because that seems like the right one.

I now have two lines left on the carb. One that is on the very bottom sticking out on the corner at 45 degree, and then theres the one that hangs off that big vacuum box ...

Well I called it a hardtop zook, so I was obviously talking about a sierra

I took a photo of it because I thought it actually had exhaust pipes coming out underneath the door. But on closer inspection they were fake.

Oh and also my accelerator linkage bracket was done quick and dodgy, I'd like to change it to something better eventually. Does anyone have pics of how theirs is mounted? Can you buy a premade bracket?

I had a look at that weber.zip and the pdf file, but when I hooked the vacuum lines up by that the car seemed to hunt(?) (rev up and down) at idle.

With how I have it set up the carby runs, however when I rev it takes ages for the revs to die down again. It's not anything ...

I thought about getting a webber but it would want to be a mind blowing difference with the amount of pissing around you guys have had to do just to get them to work properly i think i'll give it a miss!

I'm halfway through my weber install, but have ran into some small problems you guys should be able to help me with.

I don't know which vacuum to use, and which ones I should block off.

On the weber there are two vacuum ports and the one fuel port right? I've got the fuel hooked up but dont know ...

Yesterday something broke in my gearbox. The gearstick is extremely sloppy and it's hard to find the gears. I can swing the gearstick underneath the glovebox and also under the steering wheel.

Somebody mentioned to me that the pin has broken, has anyone got any info on how to fix this?

I've been looking all over for the adapter at various Repcos, Autobarn, and Cheaper Auto Spares and they all have catalogues but cannot find the adapter, even after I noted to them that it was an Aisin carb on my Suzi.

BTW I picked up a 32/36 weber from Bargin Auto ...

While we're on the topic. Anybody know who owns a black hardtop zook in QLD with spring-over, it sits on 33's on white rims, has no front bar and has a half cage in the back.

I've seen it recently in Australia Fair and also at the big Coomera BP.

I'd like to know the best place to buy a webers suitable for the suzi and the manifold as well.

Are you talking about the EJ20 type of engines or other variants?

We have an MY97 WRX with around 170kw. Would be insane to have a similar engine in the zook.
