The patrol carby had an alloy runner down in the secondary throat in the insulator spacer, they come loose and jam up the throttle valve - take off the carby at the base and throw the alloy runner away then refit carby - hope this helps

Check to make sure you dont have a boost leak between the turbo and intake as this will make temps rise and power fall. do you have a pyro & boost guage fitted ? as this will show you things have changed .

Mate take out the main muffler and fit just a hotdog - because of the turbo you wont get a realy loud exhaust, do not have any mufflers at all it will be sweet ,this is what i have on my td42 turbo wagon and its a family tourer with a nice note!

Hi paul i assume its a common rail model ? as stated above it sounds like you have a crook injector but it is possible to that it has low compression on that cylinder (i hope not for your sake )if it has sucked up some water and slightly bent a con rod its possible. there isnt much you can do ...

Re: Chromo or GU diffs for gq

When are the CVs breaking ? & do you have a front & rear diff locks (not an auto locker ) only reason i ask is because most of the time its due to shock loading ,when a diff is open the wheel that spins turns twice as fast so when it regains grip the CV or next weakest link takes all the load .Not ...

If vehicle is used mainly for heavy towing i personaly would not put it on LPG injected or not, as the valves will burn out due to the heat created when towing on LPG. on petrol it will go forever tho, its a very costly operation to do a cylinder head on these engines ($3500 >) and the valve ...

Re: Pyrometre gauge/Electrical problem

Best to test the power & earth at the back of pyro and see where the problem is as it may be the power side or earth side . you can use a test light but a multimeter is better as you can make sure you have at least battery voltage at the guage when the problem occures , also check the earth cable to ...

Have you checked the front wheel bearings for excessive play - the discs will push the pads back into the caliper thus making you pump the pedal to get the brake pad back on the disc , if it was the booster the pedal would be rock hard but not going to the floor .. good luck
