my local motorway distributor claims it's too hard to get 33" mongrels in cos they aren't that common, has anyone else had this trouble?

too right.. I CAN get insurance, but with a couple of tickets etc, being 21, off p's, but insurance don't care until you're 25.. I can't get SHIT on my 5, maybe 6k rangie, I'd have to spend 1200 for 3rd ...

Well thats the thing.

I rather the driving style events. XRCC, woodpecker, Nissan Trials. But they all seem to only have super mod classes, and I dont have the budget to outfit the truck with anymore gear (tyres, suspension) I do have the $$$ to keep what i have running though.

Navruns look fun ...

I had no power steering for a couple of days when a belt snapped in the rangie..

it wasn't much fun I tell ya!!! but that's probably coz I'm used to power steering.. and wood grain.. and nice scotch.. after all ...

3.5 carbie 2dr rangie = too baaaaaad to even take notice of..

I could buy another couple of rangies per year if I didn't drive the one I've got!

i totaly agee on strengh as for rollin over a bit bigger opening mite not be a bad thing in case of a bad accident. is sam's rig goin to have any sort windscreen fitted ie rino glass or perspex. or just tube bars .

No windscreen for now although if im going to do the registration thing it will ...

Yes you could make the opening bigger, but this thing is BUILT for comps, and Strength is a major issue. The more bends you put in (so you can get in ) the weaker it will be ...

well i'm sold on mongrels for when i finally get my 4wd, but how's the road handling for them?
my dad runs motorway broncos, would they handle similar to them?
even tho the broncos are all terrain types, but they're cheese cutters too,

Ok what about making a hole like the attached pic to the body (Just realised it is upside down - the hole should be at the top with the slot pointing down). Then on the bracket on the flare have a bolt head that sticks out a couple of mms. Slot the bolt into the hole and let it slide down the slot ...

one of hte fans is loose and is hitting up against things and generally making a bastard of a noise..

I've taken the grill off and from the front there is only one little nut, but that doesn't tighten or loosen.

the nut on the bastard fan had silicon over it whereas the nice fan has a little ...

keep it vague brother.. the vaguer the better..
