Re: Superior Long Arms?

on a little bit different note, what do people do with long arms + GQ wagon + rock sliders, i had to cut the rear slider mount off to fit mine as the arms hit them on full compression, i love having long arms in the rear, excellent improvements on climbing etc, but to me strong sliders are a must ...

I know MR Sheet Metal have made alloy tanks for winch trucks before, so it may be worth a call to Sheety and see what he can cook up for you.

Re: Gas Issues

possibly check the wiring and line that goes to the pressure swtich (Should look like a MAP sensor) Im pretty sure that tells the LPG ECU what pressure gas is entering the injectors.

I had my holden pump rebuilt and boosted by yuri.....never had a problem with it, turns 35's with a sports steering wheel (smaller) easy as at idle.

Re: Brake pad brands???

When I upgraded the brakes on the GU, I went for Bendix, and to be honest, compared to the OEM pads I found them to be pretty crap. Had to heat up a bit to have them work ok, and then at very slow speed they tended to grab. I ended up going back to OEM pads.

My little write up is here. http://www ...

Simple equation.
The best 24v motor is the 7.8hp 24v Superduty.
The best 12v motor is the 6hp Warn motor.

The 7.8hp 12v Superduty motors are good but the Warn motor is better.
From what I've seen the 12v Superduty with 24v would be a handgrenade!

I've run 24v Superduty motors for a long time ...

I believe it also helps with bumpsteer as both the pandard and draglink move with the suspension...

where as on the old style system when you hit a bump the steering stab is pushing against the chassis...

I believe they fit fine, but you may need to change a cog inside the tophat from a keyway to a spline. To fit the new motor.
