Re: my little build log...

Haven't updated in awhile, but everything went well and car is running really nice now :) Looks good! Did you have trouble getting the old sump gasket off the block and sump? Did you ue gasket goo rather than a new gasket on the sump? Just use a razor blade to remove the old gasket goo, and Daihatsu ...

So I downloaded it installed and cracked it but when I goto run it, the following error comes up: "The version of MicroCat you are running is out of date and will not continue to run. Re: Leaking sump gasket

The easiest way would be to remove the engine, you could do it with the engine in but it's hard to make it a perfect seal. You will also have a problem accessing two bolts that are located at the back end of the sump, the flywheel is in the way.

Re: removing engine

Feroza cap will go onto Applause distributor. The only significant difference is the Feroza has 90 Degree lead exits which makes it easier to fit. Mechanicallyl the distributors are identical, Applauses may give less trouuble as the are in many cases newer..... but theres' no reason not to use the ...

Re: removing engine

Stick with the Applause dizzy. in my experience, they seem to give less problems with pinging and are easily obtainable form wreckers for much cheaper. Yes, it IS a PITA to change the cap, but it's not impossible and once you've done it once or twice, you get the hang of it. Thanks mate! Will give ...

Re: removing engine

Just some other info for the thread. The Applause motor doesn't have the oil cooler, so it's recommended to swap it over to the Applause block. Unfortunately you need a very deep socket to be able to reach the nut to remove it.... I was told by the Daihatsu wreckers that I could use the Applause ...

Thanks guys! my little build log...

So been having problems with Roza for awhile now, bad oil leakS, running very rich, burning a lot of oil too, the list goes on... Decided to put a "new" motor into her so I picked up a Daihatsu Applause motor last week and started working on it a few days ago. http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/viewtopic ...

Hey guys. So it's time to replace my '94 Feroza's motor, it's buggered beyond repair. Anyway, so I have an Applause motor ready to go in and have read up on what parts need to be swapped over for it to fit in the Feroza. Intake, sump, pickup etc... I've tried searching on the topic of removing the ...

Feroza Rear Bumpers

Hey guys. Need some help finding both left and right rear bumpers for my 1994 Feroza NT. It's the bumpers that have fittings for the entire light cluster including reverse lights. I've also noticed that the car struggles when cold, this never used to be a problem.

I think the problem might be a bit more complex.

losing power, funky smells

hey everyone. need some help and no idea what it could be. my 94' roza has lost some power, fuel economy has gone worse and when I accelerate there will be either some fuel smells or just some funk stink. a mate said it could be a old cat that needs replacement. any help would be greatly appreciated.

$1300 isn't too bad of a price, that price should include new leafs, 4 new shocks, bushes, wheel allignment etc...

2" bodylift done by a workshop will usually cost around $800 including labour. if you can do it yourself then $200 should cover it.

I think you may have misread my earlier posts, didn't do this mod to increase height. I only did it to 'regain' some down travel that was lost when torsion bars were wound. After I 'lifted' the front by winding torsion bars, down travel was reduced by heaps. So by spacing the top control arm further ...

You must be running narrower wheels or negatice offset as those protruding bolts would hit on my wheels. I'm currently running 12.5" wide tyres on -23 offset wheels. Isn't causing any problems and there's a fair bit of clearance. This will probably be the last mod I'll do to my Feroza, funds will ...

I know that a few people space both top and bottom, to regain down travel but also increase height. But from what I've found (via google :P) is that most people just space the top ball joint to regain lost down travel (from wound up torsion bars). Most people that do ball joint spacers are for ...

Thanks MightyMouse! I was under the impression that a ball joint spacer regains the lost down travel from winding the torsion bars. By moving the top control arm further away from the top bump stop. This way it's possible for people to wind their torsion bars 40mm and then use a 40mm spacer, etc ...
