Re: Roll cages now illegle in Vic.

Got to say, a cage has always been one of my plans. I've seen the result of a softtop Jeep rolling without a cage and with a cage. I know which one I'd rather be in.

Re: Air Lockers from the US/Europe?

I'm probably going to be shot down by all the Aussie business owners for asking this. Sorry state of affairs when it's cheaper to buy Aussie made overseas and ship it back...ain't your fault, so don't worry about it, you're not a charity. No different to my time in pubs/clubs. Cheaper for us to buy ...

Re: Polyurethane brands-Sika etc

Dunno about automotive, but in the limited experience I've had with construction, if you compare apples to apples (ie the Selleys product designed for 'X' and the Sika product for 'X' the Sikaflex wins hands down and then some. Anything serious/important I'll use Sikaflex stuff, for day to day ...

Re: Locrite Lockers.

Running ARB in the rear and a Lockright in the front of my Wrangler, love it. Sure if I had the coin I'd have put ARBs front and rear, but the Lockright has never let me down. Definitely recommend it.

More than happy with my Stauns. Hadn't used them in at least a year, put them on over the weekend and after a few moments all 4 tyres were on 18.

Set them once properly (if you want a different pressure from stock) or at least make sure the lock ring is nice and tight and they'll keep their setting.

I know original ARB compressors that ust won't die, their owners wish they would so they can replace them with somethign that actually moves some air. That'd be me. They are without a doubt the most useless farking things ever made. I don't think it's physically possible to blow any less air any ...

I ran Procomp MTs for a while, and loved them. Brilliant on road for a muddie, decent off road for a mud tyre. Currently run the MT radial claws, seem a bit more slanted to offroad, but fine on road. Suppose it depends on what you want? For a stock standard MT I reckon the Procomps are good ...

Thanks fellas, apparently the main seal is gone on the compressor, they're talking $1000+ to pull it, send it away to be fixed and then reinstalled/gased.

Think they used a Nippondenso Compressor but I'll crawl under it tonight if I get a chance and check.

Air-conditioning core swap?

So the air-con in the heep is shot, the compressor's done and dusted. Sadly it ain't a cheap fix so I'm trying to source the parts myself. Does anyone know of an air-con mob in Victoria that do core swaps? Ie they give me a nice reconditioned compressor and in return I give them my old one? It's for ...

I think you guys are being far too harsh. Just because there's a well proven, reliable method of winching doesn't mean people shouldn't try and think of alternatives.
