Re: Roll cages now illegle in Vic.
Got to say, a cage has always been one of my plans. I've seen the result of a softtop Jeep rolling without a cage and with a cage. I know which one I'd rather be in.

Re: Air Lockers from the US/Europe?
I'm probably going to be shot down by all the Aussie business owners for asking this. Sorry state of affairs when it's cheaper to buy Aussie made overseas and ship it back...ain't your fault, so don't worry about it, you're not a charity. No different to my time in pubs/clubs. Cheaper for us to buy ...

Re: Polyurethane brands-Sika etc
Dunno about automotive, but in the limited experience I've had with construction, if you compare apples to apples (ie the Selleys product designed for 'X' and the Sika product for 'X' the Sikaflex wins hands down and then some. Anything serious/important I'll use Sikaflex stuff, for day to day ...

Re: Locrite Lockers.
Running ARB in the rear and a Lockright in the front of my Wrangler, love it. Sure if I had the coin I'd have put ARBs front and rear, but the Lockright has never let me down. Definitely recommend it.

More than happy with my Stauns. Hadn't used them in at least a year, put them on over the weekend and after a few moments all 4 tyres were on 18.
Set them once properly (if you want a different pressure from stock) or at least make sure the lock ring is nice and tight and they'll keep their setting.

Bump. Still happy? Got to admit, I've been thinking about taking the plunge, but everyone I know (who doesn't own one) has warned me off them with horror stories. Chimp, what year, etc did you get? Can I ask what it set you back? One thing that everyone keeps bringing up is that if it's ever been ...

I know original ARB compressors that ust won't die, their owners wish they would so they can replace them with somethign that actually moves some air. That'd be me. They are without a doubt the most useless farking things ever made. I don't think it's physically possible to blow any less air any ...

If it were my choice between a Scout and anything else that cost up to $5K I'd prob go a GQ pootrol. Jas. Poo being the operative word! I'd love a Scout, always been a HUGE fan of the old Scouts and early Broncos, absolute classics. If I ever have the spare cash (more so the patient wife) I'll get ...

Air-conditioning core swap?
So the air-con in the heep is shot, the compressor's done and dusted. Sadly it ain't a cheap fix so I'm trying to source the parts myself. Does anyone know of an air-con mob in Victoria that do core swaps? Ie they give me a nice reconditioned compressor and in return I give them my old one? It's for ...

Re tyre size, I had always planned to run 35s on the heep one day, and I'm in the market for new tyres in the short term, but to be honest now I'm locked both ends I've found 33s get me pretty much everywhere guys on 35s go, without problems. The only thing holding me back from harder stuff is the ...

I think you guys are being far too harsh. Just because there's a well proven, reliable method of winching doesn't mean people shouldn't try and think of alternatives. Look at me, I've taken the high prices of fuel into account and I'm going to start riding a bike. But I reckon it can be improved on ...

Custom colour high temp paint?
Hi folks, The office is chipping in to get the boss a BBQ for our office ;) but we want to paint it in his corporate colours, so we need to find someone who can do high temp paint in custom colours, and obiously in a spray can if possible. I've already tried Supercheap and a paint store, both only ...
