ended up being crack in coil,buggered dizzy and one of the sensors,yep its a zg,door issues were from parking near mobile fone tower,frequency from them mess with jeeps,went well for around 2 thousand kms,now wont start again,this time wont even turn over

i had a 350 chev turbo 400 combo in my old 76 45,long range petrol tank that spanned both seats and 240 litres of gas in 2 tanks under tray,for ease of conversion,and simplitity of set up,an old carby v8 is probably your best bet money wise

cheers shane,just did that,shakles back where it should be,leaf seems ok,took it for a run over a heap of 20 km per hour speed humps at 60 and feels good,

never known a clutch pedal to travel that far before engaging,its got like 4 inches of travel before it starts to engage,and pretty much has to be into the floor to engage,ill get it adjusted anyways,the shakles my main concern

car was in only for a clutch replacement,no shock work ect,like i said found it odd he mentioned the clunk in front end,especially after driving it and feeling it,as it wasnt there before,to tick me off more the clutch pedal now travels 80 percent of the way to the floor before engaging shackles are ...

just picked up my 60 wagon from the mechanics,went in last friday for a new clutch,mechanic said i have a clunk in the front end,when i drove it i didnt recognise that clunk,wasnt there when i put it in,hows best to fix it,just spent 1200 dollars on truck,so think ill fix it my self this time,lol

the 4o is all original except the motor,passenger seat and 2 gas tanks,its rust free but far from pristine,i found it at a local wreckers,already with a 327 chev ,it has 5 hub cap rims,and still has the factory engine mounts,i dont know how to put pics up here,but its similar in apearence to uteds ...

i dont use any aditives on my 84 2f in my 60,it mostly runs gas but also unleaded at times,my donks pushing 500,000 kms,still original motor,and still going strong,though it did get the head revalved earlier in the year

yeah thats what i was thinking of doing,or even bolting the old body mounts back on,have a coup-le of spares 60s to take them off,otherwise i could just use whats on there now and make a plate to go around chassis so i can bolt it up that way,as i have raised gas tanks as the tray sits pretty high ...

unless u find a 5 speed from a bj 42 youy will have to pull gearbox apart to change output shaft i believe as the b and 3b are different to fj 40 and even deisel 60 series boxes in that respect,power wise your driveline should be fine with your tyres,my old 3b struggled along with the original ...
