dont go poly air go propper air bags as they usally have alot more strech and if your realy worryied about flex but a cross link valve in (links the to bags together their for when 1 bag gets forced up it forces the other down)

filling up via the sharaida valves gets old very quick get your self an onboard air compressor and one of these makes life real easy

not the 2.6 astron its also found in canter trucks sigmas and forklifts

thought about the volvo v6 (all alloy)
or even the rover v8 comes with a brilliant transfer case

i would go with the 60 gear for a few reasons

ofsets are corect
can be made way stronger than any patroll diff for little $$

the isuse with it is normaly the pump with a few mods to the pump you wont have an isuse with speed

and tom is useing a trail gear unit from locked up

havent done it but been talking about it and from what i've read on ih8mud you need a minimum of a 250mm eye to eye shackles

the little zook case it a remote unit so you might have to remoce the transfer and make a blabking plate with a short shaft

have you thought about other options?
ie hi lux
rover lt 230

another thing you have to watch it the hi range cause the zuk case isn't 1 to 1 high after you fit trail gears

i have found that the international scout came out with a sd33t with a 727 auto. if nobody has one of these, is there another auto i can bolt upto the sd33 the 727 is a tuff gearbox commonly found behind crylser big blocks they were also used in some early classic range rover auto conversions mater ...

have you thought about buying a hard top and chopping the roof off?
you could then sell off the rest of the good bits and hopefully come out even
