I must admit i do like my Toyota's i am keen on a 79 ute but i just found a Gu 4.2td full coils 260ks for $15 no bling on it just front bar having a look tonight but i'm keep my options open just trying to find a good clean ute that hasn't been thrashed keep you posted.

Yes i have thought about a 79 series but for 20k you will only get a stocky only then have to spend $$$$$ to get all the bling but for that price you can get a fully loaded 75 series winch, lockers, lift etc or Gq with goodies Tuff call....

I just put a turbo on my 2.8 and new head i didn't worry about the shim just put new head gasket' i'm running a conservative 8psi which keeps Egt down to below 500deg. I just the girl back for doing the same thing, my temp gauge didn't alter but it lost power and ran like a dog after opening the bonnet water was coming out the radiator from seams and cap...... And i was happy to discover it had a cracked head. $$$$$ Not fun. Good luck.
