I thought I would give it a go, (couldn't be that difficult) 1. Disconnect the water sensor wire. 2. Using Oil filter removing tool undo filter. 3. When removed, unscrew bottom plastic fitting. 4. Replace O ring seal (supplied with new filter) and clean if required. 5. Run film of oil around rubber ...

Do it yerself!! Get a hairdryer or heatgun and run it over the decal ( carefully! ;) ) until one end sticks up slightly. Then get some dental floss or light fishing line and drag it with both hands underneath the decal till it's off. You'll probly end up with goop (the stuff the decal got stuck on ...

Denco's "Water" to Air Intercooler
OK, this thing has come up in discussion in a few other areas on OL, but.... is there anyone with a TD42 or TD42T that's fitted one? If so, can you give us a rundown on how it performs i.e. is it worth the bux, does it install easily, does it provide the extra you expected etc. etc.??? Lookin' for ...

But it's possible... Is the Syntrans stuff recommended by Castrol? FWIW I use Penrite oils in the ...

the MTQ one is cast like the OE one, I think all the others are fabricated. IIRC, the MTQ one is $220, and a complete system $660. the Landy is friggin loud with the 3" system sans muffler, so the missus has demanded a muffler when I fab up the system for her Patrol. Does the MTQ dump have a ...

Xfer case oil for TD42 & TD42T
This may have been discussed before, but it seems that only Penrite recommends the same oil for gearbox and xfer case, which is Manual Gear Oil 80 (covers 75-W90 APIO-GL4 gear oil specs). Nissan recommendation is for a Dexron III type oil or equivalent. OK all you TD42(T, Ti) punters...what do you ...
