Hey Rob,

Worth cheking prices with Sunshine State 4WD before you shell out any cash for your spares. They are in Kerry Road Archerfield. If you get stuck, sing out, there are lots of people here that will help you.

Be mindful that you may need to change the pinion gear on some of the older highmounts in order to fit the 6HP motor...

Re: 80 part time install help and sump plugs

How long was your extension bar?

The diff filler plugs can be troublesome complicated by a poor fitting spanner/socket. Best now to go for a big pair of multi-grips or vise-grips. If that fails, a cold chisel and hammer. You'll need to replace the plug sometime [naturally].

With 160+ killer wasps I'd be investing a bit more than a 4 Terrain or a Safari Tuff - too much money to waste if you toast it prematurely. Save your $ and contact a clutch specialist.

Fair enough point on the cheaper plastic used, but I wonder if painting would render the UV resistance argument redundant?

Hi there James,

Yes I would definitely go 10mm rope with your 10000lb winch.

Even though you say you don’t use it much, you will love it when you do. Nice and light and very easy to handle. You’ll wonder why you didn’t buy some a long time ago..

The FX324 were all the rage a while back .... Notebooks are being used now – depends what you like and how deep your pockets are.

The 12v 75W vertical filament globe is standard in RMSM140 & RMSM170 model lights. The main difference between the two is the shape of the beam. The horizontal filament gives a slightly oval spot and the vertical filament gives a more circular beam.

I've run lots and lots of different tires. By far my favorite is the Red Label. I run them on both my rigs. I've gotten good wear out of them for a sticky. But they are suppose to be even better once I have worn half the tread down. All my tire experience is in the big rocks and dirt, not much mud ...

Hey Skipper,

How did you go?

You could get away with it for a while, depending on how much the others have been stressed. Overtightening with a rattle gun kills them... Piece of mind is worth a lot to me - I know what I would do and I think you do too.

Sounds like you know what you are looking for [mostly]. I'd put my money on a bent housing - much harder to spot than the other possibilities. Doesn't matter how good your seals are they won't last long if this is the case.

Let us know how you go...
