My hats off to the organisers, That was one hell of a run, my only gripe being it was too long for those of us that had worked Saturday. No big deal. In my opinion great run, possibly make it two shorter runs. Lived up to the extreme rating. Probably the most demanding of nite runs I've been on and ...

I had the rancho's in the rear and found them to be great under the coily when I was on suzi diffs, but found them lacking when I went over to hilux diffs, the added weight of the diff seemed to negate the earlier smoothness. Since the diff swap and winch I have run pro comp 9000's (gas) in the ...

Sorry guys, I should have put more in. Tojo's is a coily currently raised 6.5" on hilux diffs. I currently run 4" lifted coilovers in the front on 2.5" towers but I'm not happy with the set up and was wondering what other people with lifted zukes are running (coiled). and rough est. on cost. I can't ...

Or just go out to your local truck stop and find out who's going back down to Sydney empty. That's what I did. $150 for the car, $89 return air for me, and a taxi out to pick it up.

What's a cheap tyre?

I'm looking at 34's or 35's, entry level comp stuff on a trailer rig. I can get JT2's for $330 each, which is a great price I know, but don't have the $$$, and I need rims too. I know Motorway are working on a Mogrel 35" but it's likely to be high $200's anyway, and there's no release date yet. Does ...

I'd stick to a welded front personally, but I don't want to start that one all over again.

Bigred. Does that mean the centres can't be swapped? Only asking because I too have access to an autolocked rear and wanted to put it up front of a 94 WT.

I own a coily so I could be wrong, but I'm sure I was told that in WT's the diff centres are the same and the lockers are universal. Not so for the coily's as the front is high pinion.

If I'm wrong, someone correct me....

In Qld, the outer edge of the flare needs to be 10mm. So as NOT to provide a cutting edge in the event of striking a pedestrian or other. The best I ever saw was a guy with a lowered WRX. He was tired of scratching the bootom of his front spoiler so he put a piece of aluminium stripping under the ...

Agreed, when going up a hill there is more weight on the rear, and therefore a locker in the rear is probably better in that situation. Thankfully my zook goes anywhere, not just up hills. Overall, taking into consideration, mud, sand lots of rock and hills, I think (my opinion only) that the ...

I ran this setup prior to my Toy diff swap, for two years on my coily. Never broke a CV, axle r&p. Maybe you can prove you don't need them by spending $1000 in court everytime a different cop books you, but I don't see the point. Court only costs you money if you lose and costa are awarded or you get fined. Civil court is what costs money. In criminal / magistrates / district court, if you ...
