We keep blowing diffs.
Ok, my mate has just bought a new 4wd. It's a fj45 tray with a 350 chev, 5 speed 35's etc. He has the vehicle for a few weeks and has now blown 3 diffs. He drives it reasonable hard, but nothing more than normal. I am starting to think he may have a bent diff housing. Can anyone offer any solution ...

40 series and 70 series diffs the same?
I have a mate who has just blown the diff in his 45 series cruiser.
I have s spare diff out of a BJ70 sitting here.
Will the centre out of the 70 series fit in the 45 series?.
Are the axles the same?.
Or would it be easier to put the whole diff in?.

I used to work at a tyre service and do repairs in side walls all the time. the biggest I ever done in a 4x4 tyre was about 3 1/2 inchs long. one your size is nothing. you would be better to get it fixed and run it out on the back just to get rid of it. something that small you shouldn't have any ...

I work at Marks 4wd Adaptors. We are discussing the conversion at the moment. I want to keep the automatic, but we have to get a motor and transmission and see what we can make up. Advance Adapters dont have any products to suit the Nissan transfer case. I may need to just use my 5 speed manual. But ...
