I Have ordered a 3 inch lift and "4inch" touch dog shocks for my new truck. I have been told i wont be able to run a rear sway bar with any shock this size bore shock. Anyone had any experiance with this? Is it just a matter of limiting down travel, or tweeking the sway bar a little? This car is ...

Re: 1HDFTE Landcrusier Convert manual to auto

Dont bother, just buy a new one. you will need a new computor and half the wireing loom, these items are worth more than the box alone(involves romoving the dash as well) a centre consol, cluster, pedal assembly, and much more the bolt holes for the gear box cross member wont line up, you will need ...

Why not use the box from the car the motor came out of? Its a H15# and already has the correct bellhousing
The R series box in your car will not last very long with a 1vd attached to it

Moonshine, i think you need to sit back and rethink this. You are trying to reinvent the wheel for no real gain at all. First up turbod 1hz or 1hd Fte will make the same usable level of power more efficiently than either the chev or the cummins. second the toyota motors are bolt in conversions ...

Re: 1hdfte/105 conversion vs sas 100 hdfte

The arch in the chassis rail is much less in the 100 and the chassis is wider, i doubt you would have enough room to fit coils in the front like a 105, it could be done but you would run into packaging problems Coil overs might work tho. On the other hand a fte is a bolt in swap depending on what ...

Less restriction and longer runners causing lower EGT's? Lower EGT's = less air speed also check your wastegate flap isnt jammed open. The late model gq box is physically the same as a gu box but uses a "gq" pitman arm. This box is a direct bolt in on any gq. The gu box needs an aftermarket arm as the taper for the tie rod is the opposite direction to a gq. You can also use a late gq leafy steering box but it has a different pitman ...
