Buying Range Rover and ? running LPG

I am thinking of buying a 1992 Range rover with the 3.9 V8 engine. Anything I need to know? What is the fuel economy like? Is it feasable to put it on gas? I will only be using it to go touring once or twice a year and once or twice a month to do some hardcore wheeling. The rest of the time it will ...

i recently fitted a 3" mandrel bent system from the back of the turbo. It is sensational. The turbo spools up faster, I have better acceleration and the note is very nice. It is not too loud nor does it drone. Was going to get a sterling exhaust but they could not supply one for 3 weeks so my local ...

thinking of a holden gen3
the reason for the conversion is that the 3lt turbo diesel just does not do the job of towing my camper. Plus it is very thirsty.

V8 into 03 dual cab

Just wondering if any one has dropped in a V8 into a hilux 03 dual cab. I am thinking of doing this with an auto transmittion. Does anyone know of anyone in geelong or melbourne who can do this conversion and do it legally as the car is set up for touring and the odd weekend out in the bush Any info ...

I would be interested in knowing how much gain you get from fitting the intercooler. I drive the same 4wd however i have been advised not to fit an intercooler as you supposedly dont get much gain. What kind of intercooler did you fit and where did you get it from?

Thanks

Thanks guys. Having been talking to some other exhaust fitters and another speciallist stated that he would not touch the dump pipe or the gasket on the turbo. just put a 3 inch system off the dump. He stated that you loose power and torque if you change the dump and gasket. Both exhaust fitters ...

To intercool or not

I own a 2003 SR5 hilux turbo diesel. Just wondering whether anyone has fitted an intercooler to give it a bit more go. I have heard that it is not worth the money as the gains is minimal.
Any thoughts or experience with this would be great.

Thanks

It is a difficult decision but i think that you should really consider the new Mickey T Baja Claws (they are awsome) or the pro comp x terrain (these are better than the mud terrain). I am about to buy a set of the new baja claws from Mickey T as i think that they are the best value on the market ...

I toured the outback for approx 1 year and you can get 31" tyres easily but anything else bigger and the guys will just laugh at you. They just dont have them, therefor you will have to pay an absolute fortune to get them freighted in. The sensible way to go is 31" with a 2 inch lift kit. I had no ...

Do the lift kit, worth every penny. If you got the cash go air lockers all the way round. simex tyre? - great off road but not so good on road, especially in wet - my mate had them on his troopie and he hated driving it on the road especially in the wet, but loved them out bush. Are you using it for ...

definitely go the diesel. 31 do fit under easily dispite what some tyre centres say, All Hilux are rough to ride (regardless of off road or on road) unless you do the suspension which is highly recommened for an older vehicle as it is usually past its used by date anyhow (the suspension).

After my experience, and a lot of searching i found the ARB OME to be the best - they have three different rated springs for the rear, 120kg, 250kg and a 400kg. They are the only mob that do a complete package that works well together.
