i've been looking at an '85 t/d rocky has 280 000k's turbo done about 50 000 ago 6months rego for $1000. i wanna no are they worth modding up? and also wot are commen problems with them?

those 4inch springs dont hav much flex and the 2inch rear springs are sh!t house they are just like having the diff welded straight to the body no give in 'em. and the shocks even tho ur only getting 4inch lift go a few inch longer i got 4inch lift on the same vehicle and i max out 6inch shocks ...

yeah the track bar is comin this week, and the shakle mounts are being moved back bout an inch or so, ther is a bit of weight in the rear with the sh!t arse canopy on weighs a f@cking ton :bad-words:

ifs rear springs in 4runner

just yesterday i put in a set of IFS rear springs into my solid axle '85 4runner it sits a a bit low in the rear but doff bloks will fix that but after i cut out the 2 load bearing springs i was only left with 3 leafs in the pack should i add few more leafs or wat?
its got bullsh!t flex tho! :lol:

read the top its not like daved camps u have ur leaf spring as normal just at the end of the leaf spring u have a half a leaf spring up side down conected to the normal spring and to the body at the wheel arch 3/4 is one leaf spring up side down i think u r confused :lol: i think he is talkin bout ...

but because my truk is is lifted the steering is sh@t house any way, it comes undone at the chassis mount i ripped the sucker out and hav been driving for the last week without it and get heaps more travel and no problems yet so yeah see wat happens

the adjustable torque bar in the front of my 4runner comes loose everytime i go 4wd is it really needed i no it could result in diff wrapping but is there any other compication with out it

i used boat rollers cut them in half with the lathe they look identical to the ones my mate bought ive had them in for a few months now and at three inches there hav been no snapped bolts or any problems there is a bit more flex i thuoght but like i said no probs

i've got an 85 4runner and it only has the doughy 3y motor i'm wanting to convert it to 3ltr turbo deisel and wanted to know if i need to replace the whole driveline or just the bell housing and clutch etc,

pm for any ideas or if anyone has a 3ltr turbo deisel hilux motor for sale
