diff swap questions

Swapping a pair of gu 2.8 diffs into gq ute. got a couple quick questions; Are the free wheeling hubs interchangable? looks like the draglinks have different balljoint tapers? The guy wrecking the car reckons they came from a 6 cylinder turbo diesel (but definetly not a 4.2) this can only be a 2.8 ...

$660 inc GST.
I believe since then he's put prices up by about 30%.
still seemed pretty reasonable, especially since he came to me, was quick and not too pedantic.

The 2wd stuff wont fit the 4wd. Rear ends are same, but thats it. There are left and right hand drive kits. They are not universal. James at PGS in Victoria is a guru on them and has a mountain of stock there. You'll need to call him. Otherwise Rocket Sport trucks know their stuff. Ray at 4wd1 has ...

Prices vary depending on which engineer and what exactly you need passed. Ask them. I' ve recently paid $660 for a rebody on a patrol, 4 inch, 35's and turbo- pretty normal stuff. Once it starts getting exotic the engineer has to a lot more work, and take more responsibility. Prices go up ...

Years ago these were offered as a 'load assist' type package. I believe they now only offer them for some very specific applications- like sprung truck cabs.
