Swapping a pair of gu 2.8 diffs into gq ute. got a couple quick questions;

Are the free wheeling hubs interchangable?

looks like the draglinks have different balljoint tapers?

The guy wrecking the car reckons they came from a 6 cylinder turbo diesel (but definetly not a 4.2) this can only be a 2 ...

He did my Patrol, 35's , 4 inch, turbo, cab swap and few other bits. Was cheap and quick. Easy to deal with.

The 2wd stuff wont fit the 4wd. Rear ends are same, but thats it.
There are left and right hand drive kits. They are not universal.

Believe its a coily tank, owner reckons it's 110 litres, but i wont know until it gets here.
Its going into a GQ coily, was a wagon now rebodied ad a ute.

actually want to run both. Already got a long range wagon tank in it. Couple of big trips planned. dont want to mess about with jerry cans.

Whats involved in fitting a GQ ute tank into a wagon chassis (now has a ute cab) ? Is the chassis very different?

Prices vary depending on which engineer and what exactly you need passed. Ask them.

Once it starts getting exotic the engineer has to a lot more work, and take more responsibility. Prices go up ...

You used them as well as the leaf pack, not instead of.

Years ago these were offered as a 'load assist' type package. I believe they now only offer them for some very specific applications- like sprung truck cabs.

not a problem in NSW. Engineers certificate required just like any bodylift. Most engineers here are happy with a three inch if lt's done safely

Arb bar, modded hi-mount. Never had a drama. bar didn't bend. Just brace the back, you'll be fine.

plasti dip rocks. When I had a stock dash I thinned some down and sprayed a few coats up under the dash. No more dramas once the dash is under. My sparky was not so enthusiastic once every wire, every conection and every component was blue.

might want to move the swirl pot/ pump and fuel lines. any sort of a leak and you'll be wearing it.

i used bard fittings which can handal more than that pump can through at it, and if your a suzuki owner you would no that there is no room at all any where in them, at the best of times.
