Re: v6 stalls at idle

Idle Speed Controller You'll find it basically underneath the butterfly intake (see pics in the link) I took it off, quick spray with carby clean (didn't take it apart), put it back on again. It didn't fix the problem altogether but I confirmed where the problem was. heaps of info here http://www ...

Re: brake guru's need your help!

I take it you've checked that all the pads are in right? I've taken all mine out (on a falcon) to find one was not quite in right causing a soft pedal. long shot - front wheel bearings ok? movement in the hub will cause the pads not to seat propertly and will flex causing a soft pedal. happend in my ...

check the pipe that goes from the air box to the converter. my falcon has similar symptoms when the balance pipe is not properly connected at the converter.

Re: Paj upper control arm

Yep, pretty sure. There are 32mm nuts either side which I tried to undo - no way. I checked the mounting bolds (the two 17mm bolts inside the engine bay) and they were secure. The movement is where the rear of the arm ariuculates against the mount/centre/fixed part. sorry don't know how to describe ...

Paj upper control arm

Hi All, I've got a 88 NF V6. I went to rotate the tyres on the weekend and discivered a significant wobble in the front driver side wheel. I traced it back to the upper contol arm - somthing is either broken or very bady worn. Are these arms serviceable (ie bushes) or are they relaced as an entire ...

Re: wiper squirters not working

You might have to clean the contacts in the wiper stalk. Mine got proressively harder to turn on and given my experience with some of my other switches I decided to give it a go. It now works brillantly. I found it easily serviceable but be carefull as there are a few small pieces in there.

I did my rear trailing arm bushes myself - easy and straight forward. Go over the front with the grase gun it will make a world of difference. Don't forget the uni's as well.

I have a v6 and there are a couple of fusable links behind the fuse box. also there are some relays there as well (on the right side of the drivers footwell). good luck with it. paul.

Re: Fuel Issue?

My vote for the auto choke as well, that is if it's not going up and down randomly. I disconnected mine when i had my scorpion as it would sit on 2000rpm for ages. I eventually changed the pot thingy with another one. Also if your thermostat hasn't been changed in a long time - might be pertinent to ...

hi, i found that the float switch was sticking in mine. you could try giving it a bit of a clean. i just pushed it down a few times and that seemed to free it up.

if you know for sure that it is leaking then forget what i just said

Hi, did mine a few months ago and from memory
green = ground
yellow = ecu
black = heater
black = heater

just check for continuity with the green wire to the chassis. that will confirm that green = ground.
