its on a hiux 22r engine. What happens when you flick it to gas is that it just seems like its empty. Its like there no gas getting into the carby. I have checked the connections and it seems like they're connected. As for solinoids clicking i have no idea :oops:

Anyone know a good gas mehanic in Sydney. Or perhaps knows whats wrong with my car? It runs on both gas and petrol but when you flick it to gas it just wont go.

I spoke to the diff dude today and he said that we were right i.e that the after market jobbies do fit in the standard center!! :) And it's all got to do with the thickness of the crown wheel or something like that... I don't really understand diff talk :oops: all i know is that i want 4.88s :P. So ...

I bought the gears from All-pro off-road. They're called genuine gears.

I got an 89 dual cab too, the back of my shocks are that shape / \ , other than that it has the same mods as yours except I got ranchos. Seems to do the job for me

Can i put 4.88 ring and pinions in a 4.3/4.5 (standard hilux) diff center? The diff guy reckons I can't and that they only fit in 4.88 diff centers, but other people say he's trying to rip me off! Whats everybody think? Am I being taken for a ride?

I got an 89 hilux and im puttin 4.88 ratios in a hilux diff center i got from the wreckers then putting that in the rear. Then with the rear center i've taken out im putting 4.88s in that, then putting it into the front being told this wolud be all good. are you saying this wolud not fit in the ...

Instead of wedges I got an adjustable dropped drag link and torque rod. I know Its more expensive but at least nothing is stretched and twisted and everything can be adjusted with future mods. They are a waste of time. Look into Xover instead. Better in the long run. Yeah but we're talking about ...
