Is it an electric or PTO version. Both have the same worm drive head. I have one on mine and it is briliant. I have found it stronger than larger rated Warns and the such, have been able to do much longer recoveries with my electric one than any others we had with us. They are very strong and reliab...

Your SWB wold tow fine, I have towed 2.5t with a SWB and if the trailer is loaded properly it is fine. You could probobly get away with a single axel, but even though you don't have the weight for a tandem, the duel axel will be more stable towing. have you looked at some old car trailers, ther are ...

it realy depends on how often you intend on using it to run your fridge, becouse deep cycle batteries usually only have a 6month warranty wheras you can by some decent batteries for the same or less money that come with a 2 yr warranty. wouldn't go for the AGM sealed lead acid unless you have a fair...

I think you would find that it is ileagal to use car brake systems modifiyed to work on a trailer. I have seen somone who did that and when they had it inspected were told to replace the axel and put triler brakes on as they are aparantly different. I use electric trailer brakes with in car controle...

My understanding is that it is pre 95 TD42 are the same intetnals as the TD42T but the post 95 TD42 has lighter pistons and maybee some other internals. But it still handles turbos fine, but keep a handle on how much boost you run on a post95, the pre 95 to my understanding handle a fair bit befoure...

the TD42Ti is the new intercooled motor with electronic controled injector punp, under the skin there all prity much the same. I don't know why people still like the 3.0L my experiance is there still a handgrenade motor and the longer you keep them the more likely to have them blow up in your face. ...

Is the V8 allready in the shorty, personally I think the diesels are much better allround, but that is with a bit of money spent on turbo and intercooling, but I know from experiance they can really get up and go with 12psi boost intercooler and the right tuning. if the V8 is allready in the car the...

the 2h is not a good motor to turbo, it dos'nt handle any more than about 6 or 7psi or it can blow. the 1hz is a very good motor to turbo and is easy to liberate HP reliably, however watch the current model 79series as the front diffs are also 100 series and more prone to bust, the gearbox sumtimes ...

You could also use the turbo and plumbing from the inport motor as parts to preform a turbo conversion on your motor, but I am currently turboing mine and have managed to sorce a turbo kit that would probobly end up costing not much more than buying the motor in. I am fitting it myself to keep the c...

Turbo for GQ Dies
Just wondering about advice or companies that can be reccomended for honest and strait forward advice for turbo kits for a TD42 GQ. the pros and cons for water cooled and oil cooled would be most helpfull, as well as maybe a good company to talked to about prices an such.
