Rear Clunk
I have read through a bunch of other articles about similar 'sounds' coming from the rear and it looks like there are a couple of possible causes. Since I don't exactly know much of the terminology was hoping that someone could narrow it down a bit further and advise on some checks. It is a 97 coily ...

regular jack does fine with a rubber block. Why not go to a local mechanic, I asked if i could borrow two for a weekend, bought him a case of beer! Two is worth it if you can get em, just take it slow, and if the body stops moving, stop everything, walk around the car, check brake lines, cables etc ...
that's a pretty big bend BTW. I know  Serves me right I guess. I called 2 mechanics who said they wouldn't know what to-do. And the local engineering joint don't feel comfortable fatiguing it. Thanks for the advice guys, ill peruse more engineering joints today and use bending it back myself ...
Not sure if this helps, and IMO it looks worse in real life. Going to attempt to bend it back tomorrow night unless anyone strongly advises otherwise. http://r6design.net/Projects/TN_01C96009C69E39001231565827030DA8%20copy.jpg http://r6design.net/Projects/TN_01C96009BD14D1001231565F27030DA7%20copy ...
Bent Diff
Hey all, Was up playing on the dunes and got a bit ahead of myself coming down a dune. Sorta resulted in a face plant of sorts in the sand. On closer inspection it seems like I have put a lovely bend in my front diff on the left hand side. It is very noticeable and has caused a nice slant to the ...
I jotted down a list of things i learnt when i replaced my clutch. (which covers 99% of what your going to experience. Its in the bible somewhere "How to...." If i new that before i started it would have been alot easier....eg jamming a screwdriver into the flywheel to torque up the clutch housing ...

Ride wise they are acceptable, not going to be the comfiest thing you have driven, but I make it about 4hours before i have to get out and shake a leg. Though my soft top is loud as hell, that gets bloody annoying, specially if your trying to have a conversation. Otherwise, go buy a nice loud sound ...

Horribly off topic here and sorry to the topic starter but, the bible is a bit of a pain to use, has outer's considered starting a wiki? I would suggest it is run via outers themself, so they pull advertising revenue still, otherwise contact me and ill sort it out on one of my servers. (not trying ...

If it breaks there's a r chance it could smash its way into the cabin or hit the ground and lever the car onto its roof. Don't do it. These are a precision part - the rebate and spigot on the yoke and flange are pretty critical. I wouldn't even use alloy, let alone nylon. Steve. Just to comment on ...

Yeah I think photo's would be great. It would be awesome to see others do howto's as well on other things. Like vicelores body lift one will be great in a couple of weeks for me. And doing the clutch myself saved over $800. It took about 20 min to write up, would be cool to see others :P Might save ...

HOWTO: Clutch Replacement

Please feel free to correct me where I went wrong, ...
