hulsty nah i dont have a locker and the first one i wasnt checking the tension ill admit but the second one i was then one day noticed 3 studs snapped so yer

sprungupcruiser thanks for that mate ill give that a shot did you just drill and tap them? also did just drill the holes bigger in the axle?

hey guys i have recently in the last 2 to 3 months sheared the studs outta the rear hubs on my 60 causing the axle to pop out and there for no rear wheel drive
the first one happened ages ago got aanother hub fitted up all sweet then the 2nd one just last weekend so done the same but now ive changed ...

mate i dunno wether the sc14 would be that good on it honestly as there put on small engines i think that it would be a waste on a big diesel someone prove me wrong but just from what ive seen with toyotas they seem to just put them on little cars just a thought

As said a 350 chev is just a carbie ls1 there same just one injected one not the reason why they get put in is cause easy conversion no electrics to get wet while 4wding and there's still a huge range of parts available more than a ls1 most likely and all ya need to pass emissions is if it's older ...

The early 80 series came with 3f injected so could be that state the start of the engine number and will be able to figure it out
also may be a sticker on side of your car saying 24valve 4500 or something that means 4.5litre injected 1fz-fe

haha funny you say that mate thats what i was taking it off for so changed them and was bout to put new studs in and realised the gave me the wrong ones so out the come old ones in left car in driveway get some new ones tomorrow

Well after working on a mates car got back onto it adjusted it back a bit more then pryed it off was stuck on good took me and my mate a bit but we got it
now I'll finish it tomorrow As we strarted drinking when we attacked it so didn't go further with it

Hey people I am trying to get my drum off the rear of my 60 I got one side off using usual techneque hitting with hammer and adjusting handbrake off and putting bolts in to wind it out but the other side ain't budging been at it for ages and other ideas?

Hey mate it's his brother here we bleed it plenty no air in it at all and the pedal deffinatly feels good
it's almost like the slave cylinder isn't moving enough to push it all the way but we tried a spare one and same story
if you start it in neutral it won't move but you can't select a gear ...
