I'm looking to try and sell my Feroza, we let is slip rego some time ago and it's been sitting around doing pretty much nothing ever since.

What sort of price would an unregistered SX II (94) go for.

it's got bigger muddies, extended shackles (a mate made), extractors.

I was hoping it ...

Are they expensive? Sounds like you might need to pack a couple of spares

I'm in the same boat, except I made the mistake of letting the rego slide.
I'm hoping for about $3,500 for mine.. '94 model with a few more k's.

I'd say you would have to do some sort of a build out.

Hertz used to make a speaker that would be ideal, I believe a few other companies make something similar.. Rather than using the standard magnet they use a neodyne magnet with is miniscule in size, basically the type of magnet used in a tweeter ...

not sure mate, I haven't been off road at all yet, or tried testing it to notice any change..

my only concern was the leafs look flat as a tack, but having just had a look through some old photo's i've noticed something curious.. my front was higher than the back... And when dialing up the front end on the weekend, I noticed the front has already been wound up abit...

I'm hoping the steel is thick enough so that the shackle is stong enough to withstand whatever it is going to take... I'm guessing only time will tell though.

should be ok... i don't see why you would have to replace the batteries frequently.. you'll know soon enough whether the battery isn't keeping up.. I would personally run dual deep cycle, ie. Optima Yellow Tops.

The current your stereo draws is really going to depend on the volume you run it at ...

had loss of power, surging, and fuel economy was pathetic... 300k's from 47L's if I was lucky...


I had the head done... 3 cracks, 2 cracks in the headers.

So $1800 later, I have a reco'd head ...

that's expensive for a recore.. I when halves in a recore about 3 years ago and it was $90 each. so $180 for a recore... surely inflation and markup can't be that high..

I generally run either 95 oct premium or reg unleaded.

I'm running 4" speakers in the stock locations and they pump..

Mind you they are 2 Ohm Soundstream SPL's.. the magnet is as big as the rest of the speaker. Mounted the tweeters on the dash and they kick along nicely... No where nears as nice as my old system *sighs* but they suffice, I also have ...

isn't standard 215/70..

cause i went upto a 225/75, which means i have gone up 2 sizes in profile.. 1 for the width increasing the profile, and 1 for increasing the profile from 70 to 75.

most likely the cause of my bad economy..

Used to have a fully worked 18R in my '76 Sillycar... they run pretty well off a 32/36 DD Weber, I did prefer the old Holley carby though.

I picked up a set of Hurricane extractors for $240 fitted, the head was being done at the same time, so it's quite hard to determine power increase, and fuel economy..

I was getting 300k's out of 47litres.

After doing the leads, disy and roter I'm hitting about 400K's out of 47L


WTF can't I fill ...

I just stuck a battery straight out of a Falcon in mine...

cut off the each terminal and replaced it with one that has the 2 bolts and a plate that you brace down on the wire. And for the Positive (+) i replaced it with a terminal that has the vertical bolt with the wing nut.
The battery is over ...

The dizzy appears to be ok.

the cap is worn abit, Jayson and I cleaned it up a few months ago, and it hasn't done 5,000k's since... But i'm planning to replace the cap and the rotor.


I got water in the cap at the jet wash some months ago.. what are the chances of this causing problems with the ...

After having spent $1850 on the lil truck, I appear to be almost back where I started...

What was wrong:
Head had 3 cracks. headers 2 cracks.

What was done..
another head was sourced and rebuilt.
hurrican headers fitted
new O2 sensor
new timing belt
I've been told the timing was done ...

yeah same, timing belts getting done too.

It's worked out well cause he's taken the head off, he's not charging me any labour to do extra stuff, ie extractors and timing belt, because he's got the head off, and it's saving him time and ne knows the job will be done properly.

I took her in to get worked on... I start my new job on monday, so I needed to get everything sorted.

So the head is off getting checked. Injectors getting cleaned.
Headers have 2 cracks. So I'm getting a set of hurricane ...
