I also used a double banjo bolt and picked up for the the alt pickup, there is a spare pickup on the side of the block ...

It goes for about 3 seconds then cuts out. It normally makes a "clunk" when it locks in, but its not doing that. I guess i will have to take the transfer case out and have a look.

Its common to bend them in the front. i got a new springs fitted at arb and they bashed the perch flat then welded some flat bar from the spring perch to the diff housing. works well and looks easy enough to do.

the 3l is a 2.8litre the 5l is a 3.0litre, i wouldnt waste your time putting a 5l in, they make bugger all more power over the 3l. get a ct20 turbo setup, get the turbo hi flowed and intercool it so you can run a little more boost safely.

Is it a new snorkel?? it should come with a paper template, just line it up on the guard and mark all your holes with a marker, if you have all the tools to do it, its worth doing it yourself. Its not hard just take your time when marking the holes.

if its a ct20 turbo and manifold from a 2.4d surf engine, it will bolt straight up to the 2.8, if you look at the head you can move your exhaust studs to suit the manifold as there is extra holes, i did this to my 2.8 you just need a surf manifold gasket.

its worth intercooling to help keep your temps down, and it will make your engine last longer, intercooling allows you to run higher boost pressure safely but you wont gain alot of preformance just by addding a intercooler.
