Boy this is old!
I endied up using QT Industries 6degree arms and setting the pinion flange parrallel with the output flange on the transfer.
The flanges are basically verticle so the caster angle is also quite good.
I know I should have posted photos of my arms but I haven't seen my car for 2 ...

i just installed a buick hei dizzy in my 1990 vogue . only cost $220 US easy to wire up and runs better

x2 on the mitsi wanker ,their a good car as standard and extremely comfortable. but if you want something with more power and more off-road capability a td5 disco will take you further

with the cost of nissan upgraded axels and cv,s costing $2000 as well as hubs . wouldn't it be a better approach to go with the rovertracks 30 spline toyo conversion . then you would have a higher clearance and stronger cv,s and axles with less fab for the transport department to pick on

i bought a transfer with the gears fitted already but you can get the 5:1 gears from M R automotive in Brisbane for around $1200 i think

thanks chimp .its a coil in cap dizzy .if anyone could test the resistance from rotor to batt and find a reading it would help

i have installed a hei distributor in my range rover 3.9 v8 as the old dizzy fell apart so i thought i would be a good time to upgrade .i have 12v at ignition but drops to 10v at crank still no spark .i have tested the coil for resistance and from the batt+ to the rotor out it has a infinite reading ...

well got my rover going good enough to get it regoed ,drove it for two weeks until the engine started to be a pita.
got some reco injectors from the U.S. ,put them in and it ran smoother until the engine started cutting in and out so i went to check the rotor on the dizzy ,pulled on it and the whole ...

both are weak ,24 spline is stronger,the shock mounts on all rovers are in the coils ,it probably has the twin shock turrents put on it with the bolt on bracket on the axle housing

what would be the best way to go for a full ecu/ignition setup for a 3.9
im have about $1500 to spent and im thinking of going a full megasquirt system with edis coil packs(do it once do it right)
and who sells the megasquirt in aus or do i just get it from uk
is it also worth getting different ...

go toyota 3rds and rovertracks axels/cv .a sals would be strong enough for 37,s but with toyo gear you have a wider range of gearsets and keep the high clearance of the rover housing
