Outer Limits 4x4 Board

in my car the same happens with my subs. i have a jvc head.

i have 2 1000w amps and when i turn them up it cuts out. i think it might be a low battery cut out or something.

do any of you have any standard height rear springs lieing around?
i'm from the mitsubishi section, and am after some new springs so i can fit my 33s.

i'm in NSW but can pick up from ACT.

i also like the rear bar. i should do something like that

i just put some flares on my paj. the cheepest that i found is going into bunnings warehouse and getting garden edging. its about 10cm wide black UV resistant plastic. it was pretty cheep and will do all 4 wheel arches with one roll.

yeah my 2.8 chews the glow plugs.
i have to change them once a year or so.
in winter i double glow the plugs to get it to start a bit easier.
and the black smoke is normal. mine poors out 1st thing in the morning and has so little power that it can hardly move, so i just give it more time to warm up.

i got mine from central coast 4wd wreckers they have a web site that you can see the car you are getting them off.
mine were off a 92 model triton and are in great condition and they sent them in the mail super quick. give them a call 02 4352 2443 . they are in nsw but that shouldnt be too much of ...

i dont reckon it would.
i've been on POCUK and they say that all the 2.8 td do but over here in the land of oz there is nothing.
i searched for ages on mine then realised there is none.

thets my opinion..

what motor 3.5l petrol or 2.8 td?

yeah i searched this a while ago.
genuine is the only way. they cost more but are worth it. i bought some multi fit ones and they split pretty quickly, so i ended up getting a whole shaft and boot from wreckers.

my 3.0 v6 had same problem.
after changing all the ignition leads the coil ended up cracking and the car stopped, so just replace the leads and then silicone up all the ends so water doesnt run down the leads.

sounds like a good idea i'll do the same. sounds like a good weekend project after my new plugs come in. hopefully it will cut down on the amount of plugs used.

mate any chance of more info as my paj does the same with its plug eating addiction...
is your dash switch going to regulate the amount of time the solenoid is erergised for???
did you just get a regular mechanic to check them or did you take it to mitsubishi service?

the car has done it from around 4 years ago. they are the correct size. just seems way too often seein as the hilux is once every 2 years.
so anyway anybody with a diesel ...

i got the hubs off a 92 model triton for $150 + postage...

i was looking into getting free wheeling hubs for my nl 2.8 today because i have stripped the splines of the old hub assembly and off the drive shaft. but ARB catalogue says that they are only for up to 97 model...
does this mean that mine being a 99 model has different splines (coarser or finer) i ...

sorry mate the bloke that did the work didnt really give me lots of info just that it was a carrier bearing...

yeah mate i had the same prob with my 2.8 a while back..
the bearing collapsed and caused massive vibration in 2wd, but 4wd was fine...
i wasnt game enough to pull my front end apart myself so i took it to my local diff shop, and he fixed the bearing and the axle and the washers that had all been ...

gday 4x4 suzi can you let me know what you end up designing because i need a new rear bar bad. i crumpled my rear passenger side corner bad today... the crap thing is that the bumper is fine and just took a bit of bending and it sitts fine. its just the whole pannel behind is bent. :( :(
oh well ...

go onto ebay and search pajero and there is a petrol long range tank 120l for $60 should be good for any of you v6 guys

yes we have had the same problem with the oil pressure guage on our last 3 pajs.
the wire seems to be very tempremental and doesn't like corregations...
the guage on my NL 2.8td died 2 weeks after we took delivery of it from mitsubishi and that was a bit over 8 years ago... i have been meaning to ...

yeah same just used crimped joiners and joined them in up at the back of the indicator.
just need to undo the front screws neer the grill and pop off the retainig spring if i remember correctly to access the rear of the indicators.

i read in a different thread that some came with rear locker stock.
and if arb arent going to do anything for me with an air locker i might have to get a whole diff shipped over.
maybe a web site or some ...

i wouldn't worry about the guage ours stoped working a few months after we bought our paj new back in 99 and it still doesn't work now.
