Re: Winch power cable
On my diesel i used just a standard isolator but re ran the charge lead for the alternator back to the constant power side of the isolator. Didn't have to worry about ignition wiring or stuff like that.

Cheers for that, I have pulled that fitting out and there is no restriction as it has a few holes, or are you referring to where the fitting screws into, as the bottom of the tapped section there is a small hole there.

Hydro Assist and a 1hz
Gents Just seeing if anyone has had experience with putting hydro assist on their vehicle with a 1hz using the standard pump. I have no more room to mount a different pump on the motor as I have two alternators and crap everywhere. I have pulled a standard pump a part and see how I can increase ...

To gain a little more clearance on you bumps to your tyre maybe look at angling in the top of the can. This will give more clearance to your tyre and give a better angle for you bumps when they are hitting you diff during articulation. Rarely will you ever hit you buck stop dead straight anyway ...

Re: Pneumatic bumpstops in the rear
Gudge I have only partially notched my cans into the chassis on the outside of the rail. When viewing from the top they are about 30mm cut into the chassis with a slight lean outwards at the bottom. So maybe only 20mm cut into the chassis at the bottom if that makes sense. Works a treat and tightens ...

Chasing if any one has done this to their 1hz injector Pump. I believe the factory turboed engine has the 12mm plunger but was chasing to see if it will fit into a 1hz pump.

have you condiered getting a 100 petty and put it on gas. I got an 80 on gas to tow my ute and it works out pretty cheap to cart the old girl around and goes alright too.

Re: What coils do you run in your coiled 75/79?
When i was looking into the coils for my 75 ute (not an 80 chassis, still 75) dobinsons said that the taller spring is on opposite sides between the models so this would make sense in your car. Although 30mm seems a bit extreme.

Yeah tried to get him to race with us but like mosko said has got too much to do to get it ready.
Imagine two diesels and a 4.8 turbo in a team, he might as well pull us around the flat track and still be faster.

Re: rear mount radiator, water pump and thermos
If you want something to control the pump look into davies craig electric water pump controller. It controls the pump by kicking in and out like 10 secs on 20 off. then 10 on 10 off when approaching the target temp. Then once at the target temp its full on. Seems like a great idea to me. In my rear ...

Maxxis treps 37 stickys
Have been calling around locally (central Queensland) and have been quoted 680 to 700 a tyre.
Is this the going rate for them now? Haven't tried "the tyre god ryano" yet will do soon.
Has anyone successfully got these in from the states?

cheers simkell
That was along my lines of thinking.
does it matter which way the bolt for the coil overs are mounted, bolt parrallel to the chassis or perpendicular?? I;m assuming there is enough movement in the bush top and bottom of the coil over to allow for the flex.

Coilover mounts for the rear
I just ordered coil overs for the rear of my 75 and was chasing some ideas on how to make the upper mount on the chassis. I have two ideas, 1- have a u shaped loop on either side of the chassis joined by a straight piece of pipe running between the two. or 2- Have two u shaped pipe that run ...
